In typical California fashion, I can no longer get this product shipped to me. Its a shame because it works very well. Especially when shocking the pool.

If shocking your pool etc is not getting rid of your algae, then drop this on your pool. It definitely works but is not cheap. This product needs a case of liquid chlorine to activate it, then it burns all living matter up completely. So in total is like $50 to treat the pool. I always have a couple on hand and use every 4-5 weeks.

At first I was apprehensive. The container arrived looking like it had previously been opened. It had no seal and powder was scattered about the box as it had escaped from the tube. It was also only half full, but after weighing the container, it did weigh the correct 2lbs. I almost returned it because decided to still give it a try. It worked! After following the directions and running the pool pump for almost 24 hours, my green pool was restored back to its beautiful sparkling blue. I would have given this product 5 stars but because of the packaging, I had it only 4.

It got rid of my yellow algae! there are no products in your basic stores such as Home Depot, Lowes, Walmart that carry anything that works for my pool. I found one product at a pool supply shop that worked, but was costly. Then this year they changed products and the same yellow algae was way more expensive. So I went on line to find the same chemistry in yellow algae killer and found this product .... it works great and is so much more economical to use.

I don't usually write reviews, but this stuff is magical. I have used it three times. All three times the pool was at 5+ PPM chlorine for a week with no changes to the algae. I added this to it, and no kidding within an hour half of the crap is GONE. I don't even care what is in it. $20 per dose is fine because that's how much the chlorine was costing. IF you have the yellow stuff, DEFINITELY use this.

This stuff is amazing!! We were having problems with yellow algae in our pool. Every day our pool walls would be covered in yellow algae. We would brush the pool, pour in some Clorox algae killer, and the pool would be clear for the rest of the day. The next day it would be yellow again. We ordered SeaKlear Yellow Klear and poured in 3 cap fulls with 3 lbs of shock for our 29,000 gallon pool. It's been a week and we haven't seen any signs of yellow algae! Amazing!

I struggled with an algae problem in my new above ground pool for literally 2 months near the end of this summer. Pool was balanced, but spots of algae would show up repeatedly and when I would brush the pool, I’d see puffs of green come up everywhere on the bottom. I’d shock the pool, kill it and manually vacuum to waste, meaning I’d also have to add fresh water and re-balance the chemicals. I’d end up with a cloudy pool, and would have to add blue clarifier. Days later, I’d spot algae again and repeat the process, at least once a week for two months. The pool never had that bright and clear, beautiful blue look again in those two months and I was so frustrated, I literally considered just taking down the pool. I researched and determined that I apparently had mustard algae which is chlorine resistant and found this solution. You add a measured amount dependent on the size of your pool, and follow with an activator like shock. I manually vacuumed, added blue clarifier, the algae cleared, never came back and my beautiful clear, bright, blue pool is back!! Truly a miracle worker product and I will never be without it!

Helps to clear algae, but in my situation, repeated applications were required a few weeks later.
