its been installed perfectly but since then its leaking from the actually guage on the catch can, everything it catches just leaks out of the catch can now. i dont know who to contact to get it swapped. i just bought it and its already leaking

Once oil finally builds up in the catch can, it leaks like you wouldn’t believe. Just tore it apart and applied epoxy to the mating surfaces that won’t need taken apart when servicing it, and used liquid pipe thread on all the screws. Been thinking I had a hole in an oil cooler line or something severe. Used UV due to locate the leak and it ended up just being oil dripping from my catch can. At every point on it.

I prefer to make my own baffling inside of the catch can.I feel like I can do way better than the name branded units, so I buy catch cans like this that have a removable top and bottom.I also don't like the ones that have a screw on bottom, those mess with the baffling when assembling or maintaining.What do is to use a 3/8 or aluminum hard line and bend it into the shape I want.Either I'll run it straight up and out of the can or use a tool to flare a bead into the line in order to make a nice press fit.I use that end as the intake, running the line to the bottom of the can leaving a few inches at the bottom to capture the oil.From there it's some sheets of aluminum to build the baffles.One at the bottom with some feet to keep a nice spot, sometimes I'll do a middle baffle, and one at the top to act as the final screen.in the baffling I drill little holes in order to screen and allow a drain.between the baffling I use some stainless pot scrubbers to act as a wick for the oil.Usually I buy a round one, but this time I decided to give the square one a try.So far, I'm happy with the end result.The hardest part is trying to figure out where to mount, and how I want to work the drain.

I reworked and sealed the unit and added as much steel wool as I could inside. I also added and extended pipe inside with holes drilled about every inch so it could still breath without sucking oil out of the can.

Man, this catch can far exceeded my expectations!* I'm NOT receiving any compensation for this review, so my opinions are 100% real and honest. I hope my other car geek friends can find some value in this.*Likes:- The design and build quality is excellent!- It features an optional breather and filter opens up some really cool opportunities.- The oil level sight column makes monitoring the level effortless.- The easily accessible location of the drain plug on its side make emptying it a simple and clean endeavor.- It's rectangular shape, mounting hardware and build quality make a factory appearance installation very possible.Dislikes:- It doesn't come with a built in baffle. I'm following others advice and using a stainless steel scrub pad I got from Wally World. Have a 7mm Allen wrench handy.- The hose it comes with isn't nearly rigid enough to handle any sort of real vacuum. It collapsed almost immediately. I used a couple of lengths of some really cool blue air compressor hose I have. Worked like a charm!This is my first experience with catch cans. They are EXCEPTIONALLY EASY to put into service on your vehicle. Installing and mounting permanently will take a little more time if appearance is important to you.Remember, all you are essentially doing is routing air through a can, In and out... You CAN'T mess it up. Just hook the original hose back up if you think something is wrong. No harm no foul, you weren't even there... ;)Istallation is as simple as:1. Locate your PCV valve (I recommend replacing it as part of regular maintenance - and they're cheap...).2. Reroute (or replace) the vacuum hose coming from the PCV valve and insert into one side of the CC.3. Place a second lenghth of vacuum hose from the catch to the where the original PCV hose would normally go.4. Mount as you see fit. You can literally tuck this thing in a nook if you want, at least to test it out before permanently installing it.Basic installation can be completed in In conclusion, if you are experiencing blow by, or even if not, these things are supposed to be beneficial for any car, so consider installing one either way.

Decent little catch can for the money, but I don't yet know if it works. The quality is okay in some areas, for instance, I like that it is made of anodized aluminum that appears to be milled, which looks great. It's a great looking catch can, and I love the sight window. What I'm not a fan of, however, is there is no screen/filter in the can to assist in pulling condensation out of the air. It's straight in and straight out, so the jury is out on if it will even work. The hose that comes with it is also absolute garbage, which is exactly where it ended up. There were also some small metal burrs left over from the milling process that I had to clean up out of fear that they come lose and find their way into the engine. My last gripe ifls that the mounting bracket didn't give me a huge number of mounting options, so I had to make a bracket to bolt the bracket to, which seems needlessly complex. With just a handful of small changes, this would become a fantastic product. As it is, it's cheap, so I didn't expect much, and I got exactly what I expected.

You will have to do some modifications to your vehicle, but it works perfectly. I took it apart when it came in and sealed all the connections. No issues after that.
