Takes a lot to sink in the pool. It doesn’t do the best job which is reflected in the price.

The curse of having shade trees in the yard is that you get leaves in the pool. Granted, they're worth it, but skimming the pool multiple times a day is for the birds! When father in law got one of these vacuums I knew I wanted one too, but there was no way I was spending a thousand bucks for one. This has been great! It arrived with enough battery charge to try it out right away, and just letting it run the factory charge down was enough to see that this was a game changer. It re-charged in less than 3 hours, and was right back to work again. The bottom of the pool looks great, and my pool-cleaning time has dropped way down! I still try to skim floaters off of the top a couple of times a day, but this little guy takes care of debris large and small on the bottom. It's got enough suction to pull stuff in from several inches away, so it seems pretty powerful. I read the manual because I'm like that, but found that using it was, for the most part, really straightforward. I look forward to the rest of the summer a lot more now that I have this little dude for a sidekick.

Works reasonably well with my 10' above ground pool. My pool liner has some slight creases and the robot has some difficulty with them. It will try to move around, but I guess the next time I swap out the water I'll have to do a better job of getting the liner flat and level as possible.Using it is simple. Charge it first using the wall wart and charging port (non USB-C which kinda shocked me, actually) and then take to your pool, press the go button and get it in the water quickly. It will fill with water, sink and then start moving around the pool.I waited the first time for it to float up, as I thought I had read that somewhere, but this one parks itself at the edge of the pool when done or out of charge. Use the included hook and a pool pole to hook it and take it out of the water. Undo the snaps to expose the filter let dry, and then recharge before using it again.Only thing I found interesting was the need to snap the brushes in yourself. No need for it to be delivered from factory that way, wonder what purpose is served by leaving them off till the last minute? For my little pool it does great, can recommend.

Since it performs its job, it is obviously a great time saver! It successfully navigates the pool, even the deep end. It is really easy to use. I'm so happy I don't have to sit there manually directing the hose any more! This is built and designed well. The battery life is good, but if it gets stuck on something (forgotten goggles at the bottom of the pool!), it does run out of battery life and need to be recharged in order to finish its job. But it is strong enough to keep the basics out of the pool but I dont know that I could count on it for a deep cleaning (as you would expect). But if you are looking for a robotic vacuum, this is a great choice!

Best thing I ever got!!! I wish i bought this a long time ago when I was doing the manual vaccuming of my pool. Saves so much time. I can do other things while this is running in my pool. Charge, drop, clean and recharge. All done. Simple so easy! Awesome item!

I have another pool robot, in the same price range that doesn't do much of anything to be honest. It often gets stuck on my pool drain and collects very little debris from the pool bottom. When I saw this robit, which looks similar, I thought I'll try it but had low expectations. I was pleasantly surprised in that this robot seems to have more power (it can free itself from the drain) and has much better cleaning ability. While it isn't the same level of thoroughness as a $1500 Polaris, a few cycles removes about 80% of what is on the bottom of the pool. This does not do well in corners so you will have to manually remove leaves there, but overall for the money this robot does a pretty good job. Charges quickly and is ready to go again. Of the lower priced robots this one has my vote.

My Ramblings...lunch, but it did get the corners and since I’m looking for something to reduce my vacuuming time and allow ME to enjoy the pool more, Let’s look to see what it actually does.To the Point or TL;DRTakes a little while to get bottom clean, but what do I care? I’m not standing there watching the whole time. Plenty of battery for the job at hand. Short recharge cycle. Wanders, but this isn’t a thousand dollar bot and it still gets the job done just fine. Easy to clean. Good filter catches the small stuff, and captures the larger stuff in the bottom. When it finished, bottom was clean, so… it works. The Good StuffThis is just a nice, compact, get it done bot, that doesn’t complain (like my kids), and keeps me from dragging out the hose, vac head, pole, etc. and spending all that “could be in the pool enjoying it” time cleaning. Does a fast recharge which is nice. I only have so many plugs in my house and it seems everything I own from pants to pool bots wants one (did I mention my kids?). This also keeps me from needing to use my filter, which is a bonus. The Bad StuffHaven’t found one yet.Who May Use/Like ItThose wanting to save time, and filter usage.Me Final ThoughtsAs we say in my family for things that are good,… not bad. (Kids!)That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Hope it helps! All the best, Just BenjaminReviewed: Brand: Vidapool Cost: $159.00 at time of review.Robotic Pool Vacuum Cleaner,Ideal for Above Ground/Flat Pools up to 860 Sq.Ft,Lasts 90 Mins-White
