This kit is a fantastic little piece. While it is quite fancy looking, the pendulum swings only when turning the crank on the back by hand and the clock on the face moves via a continuous motion, not a tick-tick-tick. That's probably the most upsetting thing about this.. which is to say I have very little to complain about! It is a super simple build and goes together in just an hour or two. the metallic parts are suitably shiny, and all the pieces were included and easy to locate.Most shocking feature.. it actually has an alarm function too should you choose to use it! If you don't want it just don't put the yellow hand on.
