This product did not last. Had it for 1 month and it broke. It was installed correctly and it stopped retracting. Horrible quality. I would not recommend.

Recieved this item May 5th and it broke May 20th. I wasn't careless. I actually treated the product very carefully and it lasted less than. A month. Great idea, poor execution. Plastic parts on the mechanism that shouldn't be plastic.

In the instructions for assembly it says it won’t be suited to your car if your dash isn’t flat. It would’ve been good to know before purchasing. It also says that you can’t drive with it on and I don’t think it means with the shades up. I know if it covers a certain amount of your visibility you will be pulled over. If you bought this to save time putting up a sun shade but you have to take the whole thing off when driving this will take longer than a regular shade.

I like that the shield expands and retracts like an umbrella. However, the mechanism that holds the shield open is very weak, or may even be broken. The shield partially closes almost immediately. It’s still usable, but I’m a little disappointed with the product.

I really liked this. I got it because I park my car outside and wanted to not have to worry about ice or leaving my car on to defrost and run risk of it being stolen. It’s very large and has a way to ensure that someone couldn’t come and rip it out of your doors. I use it even if it’s not frosty because it helps with that cold morning condensation you get on the inside of your windshield. I’ll definitely use this during hail season too. It also folds up very easily and small for storage.
