Mt other 3 Pyrex measuring cups are about 20 years old and the paint had just about completely worn off. The are very expensive to replace and I did not do so right away. But this came up for a better price, so I jumped on it.

When the markings on my closed handle 1-cup wore off, I decided to upgrade the design. I have always had good luck with Pyrex and like not having to get a controlled grip on those tiny loop design handles on the side.

I have had 1 Pyrex cup for nearly 30 years. Retired and doing more baking so I bought what I thought was a set of nice heavy duty plastic measuring cups and after several months of the dishwasher, they are full of cracks. I decided to go back to what works & bought a variety of sizes in these Pyrex cups. A little more cost but worth it.

I found it thick glass so it shouldn't break easy. Seems spot on with the one cup, half cup, one third cup and one quarter cup measurements. I found it useful on most of my cooking recipes until I needed more then a cup. This only measures up to a cup so now everything that has ingredients more then a cup will have to wait tell I get a bigger one. I mean come on, how can I put three cups of flower in a one cup measuring glass.😀

This Pyrex measuring cup has measurements on the side that make it possible to know the volume of liquid. It has an indent at the top, so when emptying liquid, it does so in an orderly fashion preventing spillage.I think the Pyrex people are onto something here. Also, it does not leak, yeah!!
