I like that this has different temperature settings based on what you are using the hot water for, and the bag it came with is a great thing to have to keep it safe from damage. The temperature guides are labeled for other liquids though, which is extremely misguiding (thankfully I read the instruction paper).

I wanted to like this more than I did. It does heat the water up, albeit not as fast as an electric kettle— it takes about 6-1/2 minutes to get to a full boil, whereas my electric kettle takes about 90 seconds for the same 12 oz of water.When I make tea, I want the water at a full boil. But if you open the lid after it’s reached a full boil, boiling water will spurt out all over the place. (Ask me how I know) To be fair, there IS a warning on the lid to wait 3 minutes after boiling to open the lid, but if you do that, the water is no longer boiling — it’s about 200°The button labels are confusing, because the directions clearly say you can ONLY boil water in it, but they are labeled MILK, TEA, WARM and BOIL. If you can’t put milk or tea in it I don’t know what this is supposed to tell you. Why not just have the temperature markings? They go to some lengths in the directions telling you NOT to put coffee, tea, milk or anything but water in it, so I guess you can’t even use it as a thermos after you’ve made your beverage.All in all, I thought this would be great for me when I travel (try making decent tea in a hotel room) but with these limitations, I’m not sure how useful it will actually be.

What a great way to be able to make some tea at work or on the road. I've used it a few times and it's already saved me from having to go to the coffee shop to get a hot drink! What a great idea, I wish I had known about this sooner!

This is quite a nifty little product. While it does need to be plugged in to get any of the features (I had been hoping for at least a little bit of battery-powered warming), it does exactly as advertised - it heats up the water to the perfect temperature for my tea without having to use the microwave or a kettle. The cup itself is reasonably portable and is very easy to clean. I would recommend this if you’re a tea lover or if you’re looking for a gift for the tea person in your life.

I absolutely love using this in my car. I save money on take out hot drinks. Great for heating water for breakfast foods or dried foods. I use it when I travel long distances and car camping.

This is so easy to use. I travel a lot for work and prefer hot chocolate to coffee. The heat up time is amazing and makes it so I have my great brand of hot chocolate to drink. Great product. It’s so easy to use I just might keep it in my home office when I’m not traveling!

I didn't realize it came with a carrying case. That was the first thing I saw and was super excited.Cute, handy, and boils water in 5 min or less!I was skeptical. I need a quick boil for tea for work meetings, and this is great.I could also see it being used for camping or trips.

Works great! I got this hoping to have something compact to use at work for hot chocolate or instant noodles. It holds only about a cup and a half of water, so it's just right for one person. I timed how long it took to reach each of the 4 temperature presets. For 113°, it took 38 seconds. For 140°, it was 1 minute, 58 second. It took 3 minutes, 33 seconds to reach 176°, and 7 minutes 43 seconds to reach 212°. However, on my test run, it sat at 210° for two full minutes. After the water reaches the right temperature, it switches to a keep warm mode which will maintain the temperature for up to 12 hours. When not plugged in, it'll keep the water warm about 6 hours, so if you aren't planning to be near an outlet, you're still good to go.Because I'll rarely have a need to reach a full boil, this little device will work nicely! There is a steam vent at the top that splitters after the kettle reaches 210°, so keep that in mind. There's also a warning on the lid to wait 3 minutes after boiling to open the spout that I should have taken more seriously. I opened it quickly after the cup switched to keep warm and got a geyser of hot water and steam all over my kitchen. I'll be more careful next time! I also love that there's a controlled pour spout built in to the lid.
