I really wanted to like this light up fountain, but unfortunately the tool they give you that is crucial to installation would not work for me. To install this device you have to remove the eyeball return and then remove the seat to which you screw eyeball return onto. They do supply you with a seat removal tool, but it is plastic and too flimsy to remove my eyeball seats. You insert the tool all the way up to the ears and it stops and I put a wrench on that and all that happens is this plastic tool twists. I have a four returns in my pool and this tool would not remove any of the seats. I had nightmares of the tool breaking off in the seat, so I stopped trying. Maybe if your pool is newer than mine or if you regularly remove your return seats for some reason, you will have better luck.If you're interested in buying this, first make sure that you can remove your eyeball seats. You could wait until the item comes and try using the supplied tools or purchase a metal tool at the same time. It is too bad that the manufacturer does not supply one of these. On Amazon I see metal eyeball seat removal tools without a handle starting a $3 and with handle starting at $7.The fountain itself seems well made out of durable plastic. Installation should take you under 10 minutes and there are no unsightly wires to lay out on your pool deck nor any battery boxes to trip over like on other fountains. It claims IP68 waterproof rating, which is important by a pool, and is CE certified according to the markings. Looking at the quality of the build, I believe it is very watertight.Be aware that you will be losing the eyeball flow return where are you install it so this may affect your skimmer and possibly results in accumulation of floating leaf litter that does not make it back to your wall skimmer.You can regulate the flow with a built-in flow diverter, in case the fountain is overshooting or is too high or you want to return more water for pump circulation. In addition, each spray arm is independently adjustable so that you can change the angle at which the water sprays.The LED light illuminates the spring water and has a dawn to dusk detector to turn it on when it gets dark. Of course the water flow timing is done by your pool pump. You have your choice of seven colors and sequence of colors either slow or fast flashing.
