This is only useful to you if you already know most things like a generalist or do tons of stuff all over the map like the myth usters did.Think dictionary minus all the description and just the math and formulas for most subjects. Voila. That's what this is. The people giving bad stars figure this is a ref 101 book. Like turn to page 56 to learn how to apply physics to tree cutting for their garden or how to sand their decks. Like...yeah no.You still need to know most subjects on the planet to really make the most of this book. Now I can stop remembering the boiling point of mercury. Ace thing, finally was able to get a copy!To the author: USA I get it. Zip codes? I see a few extra pages there for other things instead haha! Thank you for making this book.

Great book of reference for many subjects. This book covers so many topics you are bound to find what you are looking for. First aid, electrical info, carpentry. Knot tying, metals and much more. I use this one a lot.

fun item, inexpensive reference guide. Very wide range of information. enjoyable read, lots of useful and some not so useful information but handy. Print is very small so those with challenged near vision will need magnification.

Most people would say that something like this has no place in today's instant search world, but I completely disagree. Check out the Table of Contents page; this thing is loaded with tons of basic information, as well as every kind of scientific or mathematical reference or formula you'll likely ever need. A family member went to school for engineering, this was the first thing I got him. Doing work around the house and need to figure out ceiling fan clearance or strength of materials? Everything you need is right here. If you do any kind of scientific, mathematical, engineering, carpentry, landscaping, or so many other things, you can't go wrong having this. You also can't beat the price!

I bought used and got an original pocket ref that fits in any pocket, not a Xerox copy.Of course, everything is in freedom units. But the content is great. The copy I got is the second edition. It is very reliable. I have heard that newer editions have some errors. But I checked my copy and the errors aren't there.

Comme le nom l’indique, c’est une référence. Un condensé d’informations dans un si petit format.Il y a certes certaines informations, tel que des numéros de tél d’urgence qui ne sont pas utile en dehors des USA, mais cela n’enlève en rien à son utilité. Peut faire partie du matériel d’un survival kit par exemple.

Casi mil páginas de tablas, información útil y datos sobre todo de ingeniería y cultura general. Desde tamaños de cable de cobre hasta cómo identificar las nubes de tormenta.Hay un punto a tener en cuenta y es que muchas de las tablas están en medidas imperiales. Otras incluyen los datos en el Sistema Internacional. En todo caso es un libro estadounidense y así es como se ha escrito.Un manual curioso para llevar en la mochila o como guía de referencia si no tienes acceso a internet.**Nota: Esta es mi valoración personal por un producto adquirido con mi dinero. Ante el aluvión de reseñas patrocinadas en Amazon, añadiré esta nota en cada una de las mías, ya que considero que tiene más valor conocer la opinión de un cliente real que un "reviewer profesional".
