I work at an animal hospital and we have one of these out of a bunch of different brands in the hospital and this one is MY FAVORITE! It works super fast compared to other (which is needed for an anxious pet) and is accurate for rectal temperatures (sorry ppl, accurate way to get a dog or cat temp).Comes in convenient little case as well as prob covers to change out for each patient. When I saw it on Amazon I HAD to purchase one of my own for work.

Great Piece of junk ..I should of known better with stuff nowadays ..throwaway I expected , but not right out of the box ! Nothing is more frustrating than being Ill and thinking .. Great I have that brand new thermometer I bought a few months ago .. I open the box , check quick over the instructions ,just press and hold the button and wait for the beep......NOTHING.. I'm not exactly illiterate with stuff so I go through a few more steps nothing, let me check the battery .. finally get the cap off and Forget It..cheapo wires outside the sliding "brain"? rubbing up and down..my pressure raised and calmly put it away and and said JUNK .. this is the one from my purchase link so I don't to trash another version model by mistake ..FROM the Box MODEL 15-737-000 Box has # 92-737-000 05/06 2006 Mabis Healthcare .. Hope this isn't 11 year stock being dumped ..it would make sense that the battery would be dead... but I haven't tested it YET.. I'll update

This thermometer took temperature readings quickly, and inaccurately. I used this as an oral thermometer and found that it was at least 2 degrees Fahrenheit lower than my base body temperature of 98.6 F. The bigger problem is that I had a fever from the seasonal flu, so my temperature should have been higher than 98.6, so that would indicate to me that the thermometer is off by more than 2 degrees, which makes it wildly inaccurate and useless to me; I bought it at $6, which was not too much of a loss.I took at least 10 readings at different times of the day. To compare and contrast, I had my friend who had no fever take 10 readings as well. They were practically the same; around 97 degrees Fahrenheit.I'm glad that I got the flu within the return period for this product (which I did return for a full refund), otherwise I may have never known that it gives false readings. I automatically trusted that a this product would be accurate for the simple task that it is meant to perform. It was no worse than the $20 product, and actually gave better results on average. Neither product was useful though. These all look like mass manufactured products from China that are just slightly altered and rebranded to sell at different prices. Still, though this product is useless, it is only $10 useless now, instead of $20 useless.

I wanted a fast digital thermometer and I'm very pleased and this one. It was a good price, easy to use, and has a cover. The thermometer comes with a few prove covers which was helpful because I didn't have any at home and had to order them. This product is accurate and the reading is fast.
