Just bought the Go 7 BW (day 1 today) and was hoping to replace my old Page and I am already positive that I’ll be returning this. The screen is darker than the Page and I’ve noticed that the screen color is off for me as well. This device is noticeably more yellow than my Page and the contrast is a lot worse. The blacks aren’t nearly as black and the screen almost seems fuzzier. I wanted this for the note taking feature, but I already know I won’t be happy with this device so I’m planning to return it on Monday or Tuesday.(For reference, my Page is on the left and my Go 7 BW is on the right)I’ve also noticed the screen responsiveness isn’t as accurate. And it won’t let me reorder my Home Screen apps. Whenever I try, it just continuously opens the app I’m trying to move. The one thing I love about the Go 7 are the upgraded page turn buttons but the other things listed just make this upgrade not worth it. I’ll be sticking with my Page and hopefully they’ll release an upgraded Page in the future. An update: I actually did a replacement to see if the responsiveness on my device got better and found that the new one had all of the same issues I’ve listed above. I wasn’t even able to highlight a line of text in Neoreader. Fuzzy text again, not responsive, and a really yellow screen. I will say that I never had the stylus to test the responsiveness on the device then, so I’m not sure if that matters.. but the device should respond accurately to the user’s fingers and this just wasn’t the case. Even if I could overlook the poor screen faults, I couldn’t force myself to suffer through the screen inaccuracies. If you’re looking at a BW ereader, I highly recommend the Page. It basically does all the same as the Go7 BW (but better). It just doesn’t have the stylus functionality.

I could not be happier with this device. The display is as good or better than any e-reader that I've ever had. The best thing is how versatile it is. I have Kindle, Kobo and Libby apps installed. I also have Moon+ reader which is my favorite for EPubs. Pretty much any reader app you can get off the Google Play store will work. It has lots of storage and the ability to also take a micro SD card. The battery lasts a very long time, especially if you turn the wifi off. There is a small learning curve with some of the settings but it's pretty easy. There is also a pen available for it but I don't have that and probably won't bother.

I have only had the Go 7 for three days and so far it meets my expectations. I was looking for an e-reader where I still had access to my Nook books and could also get access to Kindle and Libby. The Nook's requirement to side library books is such a hassle. The display on the Go 7 is great for reading. Both the Kindle and Nook app work great. I have not tried the native reader app yet.

I was a bit concerned since the item was being sold by a seller with no history, but it all turned out good since I received a genuine product still shrinkwrapped and everything. You get the E-Reader in the box along with some basic accessories like a charging cable and a Sim Tray Ejection Tool (for the microSD card slot.)The E-Reader comes partially charged and offers a quick and easy setup process for your language, time zone, and other device preferences. New to this iteration is support for an active stylus which is sold separately and allows for a compact writing experience for notes or other applications. The primary use case for many will be for reading and I am happy to say that this definitely excels in that regard. The e-ink carta 1300 display is the best one yet and offers an even brighter white for more improved contrast. The text rendering is sharp and offers great resolution with 300dpi. Pages render nearly instantly even in more intensive applications and the overall flow is much smoother compared to the previous devices like the Leaf 2. It now also features Android 13, which is nicer but still a version behind the latest devices.Another significant improvement are the page-turn buttons, which have been divided up into their own distinct buttons located in the same place as previous models. They feel snappier and more tactile but seems to ultimately be the same as before in a slightly different design and housing. The device also claims to have improved water resistance, which I am hesistant to test but I haven't had issues with the device prior in the rain or humid areas. The backlighting is also fairly bright and sufficient for most people but it does tend to be a bit uneven, especially along the long edges.Overall, I very much do enjoy this latest iteration of the 7-inch BOOX device. It isn't perfect but pretty close to it. The addition of stylus compatibility will be a major selling point to many but I definitely enjoy how much faster and enjoyable it is to read on this device compared to previous models. If they start shipping with the latest version of Android and also improved the quality of the backlighting and page-turn buttons then I really think it might dominate this specific form factor.
