They have a tempered spring steel core coated with silicon carbide abrasive. They can shape and sand hard and soft wood, plaster, Green ware, soapstone and non-ferrous metals including copper and brass. Olson scroll saw files easily shape and sand complex contours and forms eliminating hand sanding. They work in most scroll saws taking 5" Pin end or plain end blades. They can also be used unpin vises, craft knife handles, mini hack, jeweler and hand fret saws.

The Product worked like a charm however I used up the two that came in the pack in aprox 20 minutes. They worked down to bare metal on popular and cherry wood in 20 minutes costing me about .50 cents a minute. cost vs value wasn't there for me.

Haven't used them yet.Plan to cut strips from the tough plastic used for packaging and install pins and Gorilla Glue sandpaper to them. See if I can make my own...(:-).

Pretty good, used it to file brass, but all the abrasive wore off pretty quickly in the useful area.

This is a much better tool than the scroll saw sander. Still wears out quickly since it is just a carborundum coated metal strip and can't be cleaned effectively. It is not a true file but got the work done that I needed done.

These files are great for smoothing rougher cuts and even correcting cuts that stray off the mark. They did a great job on some 3/4" projects.

These are the best scroll saw blades I have ever purchased period. great for fine cutting in 3/4 oak. Burned a little on 1 piece, believe it was a little too moist.

Parfait pour les petites finitions difficiles d'accès et pour un ponçage bien d'équerre. Ponçage léger de finition uniquement. Produit introuvable jusqu'a présent . J'ai apprécié de l'avoir enfin trouvé. Il ne reste plus qu'a attendre les autres grains existants.

I bought this item by mistake. I thought it was a spiral blade for a Dremel. I had some intricate sanding in tight spaces on a small dried oak piece so I thought I would keep it. I had to keep blowing the dust off he blade and finally the abrasive material came of the blade. Maybe it will work on a softer wood but it was not as sturdy as it looked!
