It's deep enough to cook foods like gumbo, paella and cobbler on your smoker or grill. And it's versatile enough for sizzling stir-fry on the stovetop or baking a cake in the oven.

The pan is a 5 but it is only getting a 3 coz the OK Joes pellet grill is a big fat ZERO. Broken after the 1st year, parts were on back Order, sent a broken replacement part, and are fighting them the beginning of the 3rd for the same damn thing. AVOID OK JOES PELLET GRILLS.

I tried seasoning it and the oil ran to one side and it’s not very even. Also left it outside over night and has rust showing up after it was seasoned. Way overpriced for not coming ready to use.

This has been one of the worse purchases in a very long time. The pan not only rusted (overnight from just hand washing it), warped after first use, it also doesn't dissipate the heat evenly. Save yourself some time and money and find another product

And you might actually be able to stop a bullet with it. It's seriously huge. It fits exactly over the "SEARING" circle on the lower grill so any temperature you want is available to you. Once you get it seasoned it is a serious upgrade to the Oklahoma Joe's pellet grill.

I was looking for a carbon steel skillet for large-batch cooking. This pan appears to be very well made, but it ended up being too large for my stove and oven needs. I did not check to see if it fit in my grill, but it did not fit in my oven. I ended up purchasing the Mauviel 15.75" Paella Pan which works better for my needs. If you can handle the size, this pan is a steal at half the price.
