Worked like a charm. Saved me countless hours when I had my 15000 light tree lose a few sections after a storm.

I like it but it’s definitely a learning curve compared to the one for the standard lights. It took me quite some time getting a small spiral led tree up and running again

I purchased to find the dead bulbs on my LED tree. I couldn't figure out to detect the dead bulbs the way the explication started but I couldn't figure it out. So I went bulb to bulb pulling out and checking each bulb to find many of them burnt out. The last bulb I tested had a loose wire and it fixed the rest of the lights.

There’s no doubt in my mind that there is an enormous markup on this product. However, it’s worth its weight in gold. I always wondered if it was worth it, and the answer is an emphatic yes. I had a string of led lights that were half out. Spent a ton of time checking each bulb by putting them into a working strand one ant a time, and never found the problem. Once I received this tool, I isolated and fixed the problem in a grand total of like 10 minutes. Now I’m thinking I need to buy the incandescent version for my other light strings. I wish I had invested in this sooner.

Very cheaply made and not as simple as put it on the wire and it will show power or not. I couldn’t even get it to show a light that worked when I was sure it was good! Plugged the bulb in working string and it worked, tested with this junk, it didn’t. Save your money!

I was hesitant at first to invest in this and the incandescent tester because light sets are so inexpensive. I run lights on about 100 ft of fence, a hedge, and a Christmas tree. I was frustrated trying to repair sets and ended up buying more. This year I decided to get a handle on my light set inventory. I counted 28 sets, more than half incandescent and a multitude of bulb base styles. The sets were in the wrong boxes and about 10 sets had bad bulbs.I got to work fixing the bad sets using the incandescent and LED testers. The bulb pullers are very helpful. The bulb testers are immensely helpful. I used the incandescent features to shunt the connections, tested the lines with both tools, then replaced the bad bulbs. I was able to repair 8 of the 10 sets, and am now waiting for replacement LED bulbs to repair one set. I found two additional sets that need a lot more troubleshooting that I'll put aside for a rainy day.I developed an inventory of each string and bulb base. I labeled the string and its box for easy match-up. I repacked the strings. It's nice to have a chaotic situation under control. Next season it will be a breeze to plan which strings to use, unbox them, test them, and hang them. Putting them away will be equally easy, and managing repairs won't be frustrating.Having these tools gives the owner some empowerment over the seemingly mysterious and fickle bulbs. I didn't even know you could remove the lamp from the base and just replace the lamp! These are great tools that solve a problem but also empower the owner to get organized!

I discovered this amazing tool and used it for the first time today. One of our spiral Christmas trees didn't light this year and, since it was only one year old, I decided to try to repair it. I checked the fuses and they were good, so I ordered the tool. It enables you to check the fuses, check the bulbs, and find the problem bulb. It turns out that I had three bad bulbs, which I would never have been able to discover without the tool. This tool is for LED bulbs, but they also have one for incandescent bulbs.
