I'm very happy with the part overall. The car rides much nicer and quieter now. The only issue I had with it is that the three nuts that fasten the upper strut mount to the car body did not fit the bolts. Thankfully, the old nuts that came off the old strut fit, so I was able to use those and install the part. The strut that I ordered for the passenger side came with the correct nuts.

I put these on a 2003 Honda Civic LX, they are far more robust than the OEM ones and were very easy to install. Took about 45 minutes per side and I am just skilled at automotive work but not a licensed mechanic. I would recommend these for anyone looking to upgrade or replace their struts.

The struts were straight bolt-in replacements for the old ones with exact matches on bolt connections and sizes. I noticed that these new struts were about 3/4" longer than the old ones; with over 300k miles on the car and original struts, I attributed that to the old struts and springs being worn out. However, the rear struts required additional components to be removed for installation as they would not compress easily enough during installation. Once installed, I noticed the car seemed to sit quite high, but again I attributed that to the old set being worn out.The first week of driving the car, I thought everything was fine. The ride was noticeably stiffer, but all the knocking and roughness on bumps was gone. However, after a month of ownership, I am not pleased with these struts. Many bumps and rises in the road would practically shoot me out of the seat if it weren't for the seat belt. There are a couple of bridges I drive over regularly with periodic irregularities. My car is hopping over it like a roller coaster while the majority of the cars around me are running smoothly over them.If it weren't such a hassle to install struts on my car, I'd purchase OEM struts and springs and ask for my money back on these. If you need new struts, do yourself a favor and get OEM struts. It'll be a little more work to assemble the struts and maybe a little more expense, but the end result should be a car that rides like it was new.

Nice safe all in one assembly for the DIY mechanic to change out the struts. Fit the 2005 Civic EX sedan perfectly.

Even with my busted Control Arm Bushings the suspension ride is ten times better. The installation was fine, except I wasn't prepared, I should have had a Tie Rod End Puller to remove the Tie Rod connection for the old suspension, removal is difficult without one and the tie rod end should be removed with the suspension in place. Installing the new Monroe Suspension is easy because the nut for the tie rod end pushes it into place.
