Rust!!I purchased two of these benches because they said they did not rust! False advertisement because they are rusting a year later! Do not buy!

This bench is made well and the detail is gorgeous. We put it in my zen garden and it is perfect.

Built great. Easy to put togather. Holding up to the salt air pretty good on the coast. Did report all the welds and drill holes before building. Past experiences with basket ball goal post.

Rust. While the frame is probably powder coated, the cast iron back is lightly finished with paint. Rust started to form 10 days after putting the ench in our garden.

Unless the back of the bench I received failed to be powder coated, this garden bench is not "Rust /weather resistant" as advertised. After only THREE days outside, the beautiful bench back was completely rusted. Other than the back, the rest of the bench appears fine. The garden bench was not as expensive as others I looked at on Amazon. However, I thought I would at least enjoy one season before touch-ups were necessary. Yes, it offers ease of assembly, comfort (w/ a bench cushion ), sturdiness, and beauty sans rust. If purchased, I would highly advise buying several cans of Rust-Oleum/other quality spray paint and spraying the entire decorative bench back ( front and rear ) BEFORE placing the bench in an exterior setting.
