Your cart is empty.The direct-injected and turbocharged 2. 0L Hurricane engine found in the 2018+ Jeep Wrangler JL is the most advanced engine ever fitted to a Wrangler. But, despite all the high-tech features that make the Hurricane great, it’s still vulnerable to a very low-tech problem: blow-by. The fuel efficiency and increased power of direct injection come with the threat of carbon buildup. As fuel and air get squeezed in the cylinder, some of the mixture leaks past the piston rings and carries oil from the cylinder walls with it. This mixture is known as blow-by. To prevent crankcase pressure from building up, the blow-by is then vented into the intake to be re-burned. Blow-by becomes an issue with direct-injected engines when it passes the intake valves. Without fuel spraying over the valve, there’s nothing to wash off the blow-by and heat from combustion and eventually causes it to build up as carbon on the back of the intake valves. That carbon buildup prevents valves from closing fully and disrupts airflow. The result is poor running, misfires, and if left long enough, engine damage. The best solution to the problem of blow-by buildup is complete prevention. Instead of letting blow-by enter the intake, the Mishimoto 2018+ Jeep Wrangler JL 2. 0L direct-fit baffled oil catch can kit diverts it away from the intake valves and into a 7. 5 oz catch can. You can then recycle the contents of the catch can with your next oil change. The internal air diverters and baffle of our catch can thoroughly condense oil, fuel, and water vapor so that the only air flowing through your intake is fresh air. In addition, our direct-fit lines and high-flow filter ensure CEL-free running. Like all Mishimoto products, this 2018+ Jeep Wrangler JL 2. 0L catch can kit is protected by our Mishimoto Lifetime , so your JL can be protected from blow-by for a lifetime.

As always their products are great. When I received this catch can and went to install I noticed it did t have a drain tube included. I searched it up and almost $90 for the drain tube and fittings!! Pervious catch cans from them have had this included.

Sure this product is a little pricey and a tad bit of a pain to install on a Jeep JL, but worth it on both regards. It does exactly what it says it does and of excellent quality so you know it will stand the test of time. It stinks the spot you have to install it in but this is no fault of the product and simply the only viable spot in the Jeep JL engine compartment. Great all around product and highly recommend for engine protection.

This worked as stated. Install was simple. After my first oil change this catch can prevented approximately an ounce of oil from reburning in the engine.

Installation was really easy after watching an installation video, my only question was which port was in and which was out. This is an AWESOM product! The only complaint I have (the reason for 4 stars), is the location under the hood once installed, makes it difficult to reach without a step stool.

This install was quick and easy to make. Only have checked the catch can once over the 800 or so miles since install with nothing to report just yet, but it was mostly manageable accessing the catch can and ensuring no spillage.A must for any direct injection engines to minimize that ominous carbon build up.

Beautiful piece, well designed, easy install.Ive had mine in for over 5k miles with nothing in the catch can. The 2.0 seems to not have the same issues as the 3.6.
