Robust, compact packaging. I have lots of CBRN gear from Mira. It’s a brand I trust and they have a reputation of quality in this space. I trust this does what it says.

Let's hope we never need this glove. It has been added to my prepper stores. I like to add proven named goods to my stores and only proven names. MIRA is a world class organization and I trust them. I can talk no further than this of this item.

The MIRA SAFETY M Personal CBRN Decontamination Glove is designed for those who need reliable chemical resistance in their personal protective equipment. This glove is intended for decontamination tasks and does its job effectively. The material is strong and resistant to a range of chemicals, ensuring that your hands are well-protected. The glove fits well, providing enough flexibility to handle detailed tasks without compromising safety. The design allows for ease of movement, which is crucial during decontamination procedures. This glove is also reusable, maintaining its protective properties after several uses. It's easy to clean, which is a significant advantage in maintaining hygiene standards. The cost is reasonable considering the level of protection it offers, making it a worthwhile investment for those in need of dependable decontamination gear.

This powdered decontamination glove is a potential life saver in the event of toxic or radiological contamination and skin exposure events. It's double sided, with one side being the powdering and neutralizing side, while the other side is used for powder removal. This allows you to pick up the contaminants in the dust and wipe them away with the glove, which then gets discarded at the end. I don't like that the thumb doesn't have a cover, and that this requires you to have some form of under coating layer to protect your hand. I feel like this defeats the purpose, and exposes your hands needlessly in such a critical event. These should have built in nitrile gloves and be a one-stop-shop for complete safe cleaning. Otherwise, I think these are decent and essential for on the field decontamination of hazardous materials.

Mira Safety is an established, well-regarded manufacturer of personal protective equipment (PPE), used and endorsed by militaries, public safety agencies, and preparedness aficionados around the world. I own a variety of Mira Safety products (including tactical full-face passive respirators, a powered air-purifying respirator, and filters), hazmat gloves, and am consistently impressed by the quality and durability of everything they sell. This single-use decontamination mitt is worn over a protective butyl glove (not included), then rubbed across potentially-contaminated surfaces, such as skin, equipment, or non-porous garments. Its fabric matrix contains a fine Montmorillonite clay powder which absorbs and chemically binds with, then wipes away, toxins. Each glove is rated to decontaminate one square meter of surface area from chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) threats, with 90% efficiency. The mitts are ambidextrous. These gloves are a permanent addition to my PPE prepper inventory. A good rule of thumb is two mitts per person per incident. Although I have yet to encounter CBRN contamination, so cannot personally attest to their efficacy, I trust Mira's reputation, testing protocols, and this product's real-world use history.

The packaging is intact and the product itself is less than a year old. I received this in May. It has a manufacture date of 7/2023 and an expiration date of 7/2028.Having gone through a test run of using it, it's pretty much on par (when it comes to use) with the decontamination stuff I was trained on.I trust it. MIRA is well regarded.

This single use glove arrives in a silver plastic sealed envelope. Though I have not used it (and hope I never need to) it's a great item to have in a go bag in case all heck breaks loose. We like that it lasts for 5 years, and that it covers up to one meter of surface area. Velcro style strips allow the glove the be adjusted around wrists of various sizes. There are instructions on the back of the package, and it does not state where it is manufactured.
