Nice and heavy. Back is not thin fiber board like many others. its 3/4 in. Stable and super solid. Its big! Mine holds, cablebox, AppleTV, HUGE AVR, 6 disc CD changer, VCR ( dont judge me! lol) ) a DVD/BluRay and a turntable. and still room for a Multimedia NAS in future. Assembly was quick and easy. The feet ( not adjustable FYI), shelf pins and spring latch are the items that need some improvement. Just cheap plastic. I did have some shelf issues. My Onkyo TXRZ 50 and 6 disk cd just barely fit with banana plugs ( front to back) . The shelves can and do slide easily on pins so be careful or you may slip off the pins on backside while installing equipment. I've had it happen a few times ( tipping backwards). I would buy it again!!
