I only used one of the three and put the other two away for when the the OEMs go south. This one I installed is operating perfectly after a solid 20 hours on an average lawn mowing application.

Only issue is I was jipped one bolt on one of the three. Had three bolts instead of four. Easy to install once you get the old ones off. So far they are working really well. Bolt holes lined up perfectly on my Cub Cadet mower. The spindles were a bit longer than the ones I replaced by maybe a 1/4 inch. Still lined up with the idler pulleys so the extra length isn't a problem. Great price for three.

Nice set of spindles. They actually turn smoother than the OEM ones I compared with. They are pre-tapped as well which makes installation much much easier (OEM ones are typically untapped with hardend self tapping bolts.) You will get a stronger connection with the untapped but they cannot be removed like these can without shearing off the mounting bolts. (Thats always been an odd design decision to me.) Just make sure you torque these bad boys down enough, likely into the 20-30 ft lbs area and check again after the first mow. Blue Loctite may be a good idea too. They halve grease connectors but I do not believe they are factory filled. Technically the shielded ball bearings do not need grease so I believe that is optional unless someone wants to correct me. I good idea to fill, but optional.

I have a Cub Cadet Ultima ZT2 54” Zero Turn mower and these spindles are an exact fit. They also come with heavy duty mounting bolts. Also, they look exactly the same as the OEM with one big improvement, they have a grease zerk built into the body. That’s a huge plus in my book. I got them mounted and gave them a spin and they work perfectly. And you can’t beat the price. I thought they might be cheap knockoffs but they are the real deal!!! I am thinking of buying another set before they raise the price. Awesome!!!

The photo shows a spindle I bought at a local lawn care and equipment store on the left, and the spindle from this listing on Amazon on the right. They are identical. These spindles were listed as the correct part number (618-06978), and fit my Cub Cadet RZT-50 mower.These spindles are better than the ones that came on my mower in that they are greasable (you can see the zerk in the photo). The spindles that came on my mower were not greasable. I understand that only a small number of Cub Cadet mowers were produced with the supposedly permanently lubricated spindles. Of course that “forever” lubricant failed, so I am now replacing them.This kit comes with all three spindles needed to refurbish the mower deck, and they accept the “star” mount blades as they should. I had been buying them one at a time at the lawn care store for $45 each. At the time of this review these three spindles cost $78.These spindles are made with a hardened shaft and good quality bearings. They appear to have been greased at the factory, but my suggestion is to grease them again before installing. There is no way to know the type of grease that was used at the factory, or if they were properly filled or not. The grease used should be a waterproof type such as the grease used for buddy bearings on boat trailers. Also, grease them annually when doing regular maintenance. These spindles should last a long time if properly lubricated.
