I use this backpack, at work, and when I am playing in the mountains. You get what you pay for at Maxpedition.

I like the quality of the backpack. A lot of space in the bag and the detachable pack comes in handy.

I love this backpack. I've used it on a regular basis for a year now. It's been with me on many camping adventures and even 3 different continents! Its great and fairly waterproof. I've walked through heavy rain for hours with this backpack. The outer fabric will get wet in the rain but it will keep your stuff inside dry. My 2 critiques for this backpack is that it's about 2 kilograms wich makes quite a difference when wearing it all day. My other critique is that the plastic clips are fragile compared to the quality of the rest of the bag. The rest of the bag is super tough which is why its heavy but the clips on the straps are weak and one broke literally the first time I ever clipped it in. It did come with an extra pair though so that was nice

Amazon title is wrong, pack is not the Gila but the Gryfalcon. I was expecting gray but got green. Gryfalcon is one of Maxpedition's best packs. Super good quality, but you pay for it. Everything is overbuilt so if you are looking for super light, this is not for you.

The backpack arrived very quickly but the upper compartment wasnt sewn together correctly. I tried to organise an exchange but the website wouldnt allow it, only giving me the option to claim a refund, despite the seller still having more backpacks in stock. Very disappointing as now i will have to have the bag repaired, costing me even more money. Ive been buying Maxpedition products for over a decade, i have multiple bags and pouches and this is the first Maxpedition product ive ever gotten that was damaged.

This is absolutely my favorite pack I own. I use it for EDC (over 4 mo. Now) Only qualm is the main compartment being a little cramped. But I get it; if the main compartment were any larger, you'd be able to fit more stuff. More stuff will affect how the pack rides due to its shape. And this pack rides like dream. No wait... More like a trophy truck with a 150k suspension system! These are just Words.... Words are useless to try and express how visually attractive I find this bag. Every time I dawn/doff/pack/unpack or just see it hanging there Ill bet that I look like I'm staring at my dream girl coming down the stairs on prom night to obscond with my virginity! If you've ever owned anything maxpedition, then you already know of it's quality/durability. If you haven't owned anything maxpedition, then you've been waisting your time and money researching and purchasing sub par products.

I love this pack. I have done my fair share of backwoods hiking. First and foremost the pack is built well with lots compartments. It rides comfortably and displaces weight well. I would say this pack is best suited for 3-4 day hikes. My pack loaded runs about 30 pounds. I am sure it could handle more weight, but don't kid yourself into thinking this pack is designed to carry 80lbs+, because it isn't. If you are looking for a quality bag for short trips, this should work for you.

Ordered this for a bug-out bag for Search and Rescue. Saw a recommendation for it on a YouTube video and decided to go ahead and try it since the guy seemed to know his stuff very well and was plenty organized. Glad I took his suggestion because there is a compartment for everything and the build quality is amazing. It's well worth the cost. I'd make a list of things I put in mine but it would take to long. Looking forward to putting the bag to work and seeing how it will hold up but just the feel and functionality of it so far have me falling in love. I am going to buy one for each member of the family when I can.
