I've often wanted to start my own home cockpit, but shied away due to the high price. But VR changes a lot of that. Now I just need a place to sit with the throttle and joystick in the proper position (i.e. not taking up space on my desk). I also don't want to go all-in because I do more than flight simming (FPS, strategy, etc.). So I don't want to embed my PC in an elaborate sim pit to where I can't still play Sea of Thieves or Call of Duty.The pros and cons, in no particular orderPro: adjustable everything.Con: not adjustable enough. The seat moves forward and back... I'm 6'2" and can barely reach the controls with the seat all the way forward. The control stalks only adjust so far back and so far in. Since I love flying the F-16, I wanted the controls close in and low, just like in the real Viper. With the seat all the way forward and the stalks all the way back, it is still a bit of a reach, both forward and out. So I reversed the trays (so they come inward instead of outward) but the stalks only adjust so far outward, so now the trays are touching my legs. I also moved the trays back (they are held by 3 screws, so you can adjust -- not sure if it's this way on purpose -- the tray forward or back by a few inches by only using 2 of the screws and offsetting them with the corresponding holes.Pro: the seat sits low, so it doesn't dominate the room.Con: it's REALLY low and has no armrests, so if you're an old guy with bad knees like me, you may have some troubles getting up out of the seat.Con: there is no mount for rudder pedalsPro: if you're not a fan of rudder pedals and want your sim pit to not take up the whole room, this is a good thing. Make sure if you want a mount for rudder pedals that you get a different sim pit chair.Con: there's no middle console... so you'll have to figure something out for your kb and mouse.Possible pro: I think you can get an add-on that adds a center console. I'll have to look into that.Pro: it is quite solid! Thick metal bars.Con: the seat isn't the best quality, but it will do. And the sturdy quality means it's heavy... quite difficult to assemble for a single person. Get help putting it together, trust me.Pro: nice comfy bucket seatCon: you are so snug it is VERY hard to check six... especially for an old guy with creaky joints like me.All in all, I think this is a great starter sim pit or a sim pit for someone like me who doesn't have a lot of time to put into creating an elaborate setup, doesn't need a mounted monitor (VR FTW), and just wants a pretty adjustable and mobile sim pit at a good price.
