It’s an awesome tool and gives great value when you get the package. My only complaint is how thick is the handle is compared to my other tools. I don’t have large hands, so it’s a little challenging to hold sometimes. Still 5 stars though

This was a Christmas gift, so the tool is 2000 miles away, but I did quite a bit of shopping, choosing the 18 volt Makita to go along with other tools that share the battery and charger. With an adapter, the tool can accept a large variety of attachments and blades and the cordless design is convenient. One drawback of the Makita is that the head of the tool is large, not as easy to get into tight places as my corded Fein tool. It would be nice if Makita would offer a profile sanding set, like the old Fein (which is now cork and breaks easily, according to reports). Maybe the rubber Dremel profile sanding attachment would be better. As always, requests for ratings come early, before the tool has many opportunities for use, so doing this again in a year or two will provide a more useful report. It was delivered intact and on time.
