I like makita products , they are doing very good tools , and this one is not an exception , I like the box and the way how they make the compartments inside it , places for batteries, charger , barely tool .. working good and fast , will be better if the kit would come with 5 or4 Mah but for the value is very nice !! Recommend it

I Put off buying for a year. Got it now and am amazed how much I use it. You can’t go wrong here, but the beast is a bit heavy. Should not be a problem for a manly-man. Lol. Actually the blades change out quickly, are easy to mount in different directions to fit your job need. Two battery system keeps one in charger at all times. Wide choice of blade widths and purposes. Truly an amazing tool. My delicate wife uses it with ease. You will find a lot of value here.

Very good multi tool but you need a 5.0 or 6.0 Makita battery on it the 3.0 it’s a little bit for this tool I think

Case is nice with room for additional batteries and other things. Tool is awesome, quick release works great and it’s easy to install or change the direction of the bit you’re using. Speed adjust is easy to use. Battery has good life and charges fast, but that’s standard for Makita. If you have 2 5ah batteries unless you’re doing constant heavy duty cutting the dead batter charging will be full before the one in use is empty.

When I first purchased this tool I really had no idea how practical & useful it would be. I had borrowed a friend's Dewalt version and was impressed with it. I have always preferred Makita tools however so I elected to buy this one. Changing blades is much easier, the battery lasts longer, and I absolutely love the fast charge base & battery. With 2 batteries you literally are never without power even with continued use. I have expanded my "herd" to include other cordless Makita tools as a result. I use it ALL of the time, it simply can do operations that no other tool can do.

Very surprised at the usefulness of this tool. As many others have written, I wish I'd bought one years ago. Too bad Makita had to sacrifice the LED lamp in order to implement the tool-less mechanism, but maybe they'll find a way around that in a later version. I don't change blades very often, so I wish I'd gotten the older model. You can touch the head (not the toothy part, lol) of this tool, and it is just buzzing/vibrating, but it sure goes through the material. My scraper (blade), especially, is saving me many hours of hard work. You get the tool, two batteries, charger, a sanding tool with several triangles of sandpaper, one hard wood saw blade, and several adapters to allow the use of other manufacturer's blades. It's all in a well thought out case.On a related note, the Bosch blades seemed to have the best reviews, so I bought those and am pleased so far.

I purchased the Makita 18V multi-tool in April of 2017 & have used it consistently to cut trim, wood lathe, plaster, sheetrock, nails & even 2 x 12's! I purchased another brand's 12V model from H.D.which I promptly returned before making this purchase & also tried using a friend's Rigid 18V multi-tool. Both proved to be far inferior to the Makita. At first I thought the Makita might be a little bulky & a bit heavy to use on a regular basis but those concerns were immediately replaced with sheer pleasure once I started using this fine product. It does everything I want it to do & then some. Battery life (it comes with two) is very good, nice quick charger & rugged tool box. Well worth the price I paid for it.
