One of the product photos claims "200 lbs seperation force" - that is ridiculous - if it was actually 200lbs you'd never be able to get it off the car. I will say I think it's most likely strong enough depending on how heavy the items are that you plan to put in there. That being said this thing is big enough to hold the worlds largest janitor key ring. You can fit your keys and several phones in there no problem. I unfortunatley didn't pay attention when I bought it, because I had several of these that were much smaller but look identical. This is so big that it might be impractical depending on your vehicle - you may not have a suitable location to attach it because of how big it is.The size is actually kind of strange to me. I have a hard time trying to think of use cases that a lot of people would have for this that relate to the advertised uses, that would actually use up all the available space. It certainly isn't keys because this is about 5x too large if you just want to store your keys. I guess maybe if you want to store your keys and your phone outside of your vehicle for some reason this might be good, but I can't think of any reason why you'd want to store your phone outside of the vehicle. The keys make sense, but not the phone.I'm sure people can come up with lots of use cases that don't related to storing keys under your vehicle though....but if you are wanting to just store your keys then get a smaller one.

While this does seem a bit bulky it is a great box to store keys inEspecially since my BF managed to lock himself out of the house.Durable and high quality
