I recently tried the M MYODRESS Fajas Colombianas Moldeadoras in XX-Large, Tan, and was genuinely impressed by its quality and functionality. The high-quality nylon-blended fabric is both breathable and elastic, ensuring comfort throughout the day without feeling restrictive. Its moisture-wicking properties are a bonus, keeping me dry even during extended wear.AmazonThe triple-layered abdominal area, featuring an inner hook-and-eye closure and an outer zipper, provides firm tummy control, which is especially beneficial for postpartum recovery or post-surgery support. The U-shaped open bust design allows for pairing with your preferred bra, offering flexibility and additional lift. Adjustable shoulder straps and 13 strategically placed steel bones offer excellent back support and help maintain posture.AmazonOne of the standout features is the open crotch design with a zipper, making bathroom visits more convenient—a thoughtful addition that many shapewear products overlook.AmazonPros:High-quality, breathable fabric suitable for all-day wearEffective tummy control with triple-layered designAdjustable features for a customized fitConvenient open crotch designWalmart.com+2Amazon+2Snapklik+2Cons:Sizing can be tricky; it's advisable to consult the size chart carefully and consider sizing up if you're between sizesThe zipper area might be slightly visible under tight-fitting clothesOverall, the M MYODRESS Faja offers a combination of comfort, support, and practicality. I WISH this was the faja I had after my abdominoplasty, but my surgeon gave me a different without my input. The most absolutely annoying part of my previous faja was how short the leg part was. I have thick thighs and a relatively smaller waist (curvy) and the previous faja ended mid-thigh and would squeeze the heck out of my fat thighs. I was so uncomfortable that I found myslef cutting the legs up to try to give myself some space instead of having what felt like tying a tournaquette around my thighs, it was miserable. I ultimately cut the legs off my previous faja bc it was that bad. So when I saw this one, I immediately had to try it. There is a lot to like about this faja. The material is soft but also really good at compressing the midsection without it being to tight. I ordered an XL even tho I am usually a L in most garments, but again bc of my thick legs I was afraid that I would again have my thighs squeezed. I think I might have been able to get away with the L, but I am okay with the XL.I really love that the legs parts go all the way down to just below my knee, so it covers up that fat pocket on the inside of both of my knees and tapers off without leaving a visible line under my clothes. It ends in a lacy type of material backed with a silicone strip to keep it in place, its a really good design if you are like me and have thick thighs. If you have skinny legs it might be a little loose on you. I like that it smooths my thighs under clothing and cinches my waist while having almost no compression on my booty so it can be shown off a little but with some support around the booty to lift it.There are LOTS of little hooks to secure the midsection closed, which is good bc it compresses everything really well, but can be a little tough on middle-age fingers or for someone that might have mobility or fine motor difficulties. You could get some help closing it. It does come off much easier as you can open a few hooks at a time. The one thing that I didn't love was the length of the midsection. I have an average to slightly longer torso than most, and I felt this was a good inch or two too long. It's tough to make something that fits everyone perfectly as we all have different proportions, but this definitely felt too long. The crotch was much lower than I wanted it to be, to the point that the top of my thighs were spilling into the crotch area. And the top of the torso area came so high that I had to lift my girls over top, even with a bra they felt like they were slung over the top of a a wall. The long zipper in the crotch is very helpful and has a nice big opening, this is another area where my previous faja fell short and I ended up with a soaked faja more than once after my surgery with the previous faja that had more of a overlapping crotch area instead of a nice big zipper like this one. I wish I had this one form day one, especially when your mobility is limited after surgery. Worth the money for sure. I plan to wear this after recovery to smooth my figure under a dress or pants.TL;DR: If you are going for a surgery and need a recovery garment, AND have thick thighs, especially if you have a long torso or if you are tall, THIS is the one to get!! Skip the one your doctor gives you or get this as a backup/extra.
