UPDATE:Since this is a Chinese product and it seems all the product specific apps are part of the Smart Life app, I tried re-pairing with the Smart Life app. Sure enough, it paired and displays the same user interface that the product appuses. The BIG difference is that the Smart Life app recognizes most (well all) of my Chinese made products, includingmy irrigation timers. The "scene" (AKA automation) mode also recognized the "humidity" sensor in the product and allows triggering ("IF") on values below a threshold and ("THEN") running a sprinkler timer.It still only outputs temperature in F. That doesn't give me a good feeling that the product has been tested adequately...ORIGINAL:What worked:1. Downloaded app2. Account creation (disabled upload of my info)3. Added device to app4. Located setting page that controlled C/F ... selected "F" and "confirmed"What FAILED:1. Setting page claimed change would be made the next time device "wakes up" (see screen shot picture) ... If NEVER changed from "C". After an hour, pressed "reset" button - Still showing "C"Removed battery for a few seconds, reinstalled - Still showing "C"2. Attempted to "add scene", app page only appears to support events based on temperature, NOT moisture/humidity(since I wanted control my irrigation and not my A/C this was a major disappointment)3. "Linked" app with Alexa, but when I went to Alexa app, it did NOT show the device and could NOT add it.Annoying:1. This device uses 3 AA batteries. One of my other moisture meters only uses 2 AA and several other models only use1 AAA and last well over 12 months.2. Slow response to moisture changes. My other moisture meters settle in about 10 seconds. This one takes minutes to settle. I also have a pH/moisture meter combo that gives instant readouts, if all I wanted to know was the moisture, then I would be using it. This product was suppose to provide irrigation control ...

Should be 3.5, but Amazon won't let me do that.A qualified 5 stars for measurement, which I can't really gauge based on a few hours of data, and 5 stars for connecting to any Tuya Smart based app.One star for documentation and just missing a few key points. For example, how do you actually separate it into its two halves, so you can put in batteries and access the pairing button? No mention in the manual, and the lock / unlock icons on the meter itself are the opposite of what actually works (you'll end up twisting it the wrong way.)Also, about the only actual setting you have is Celsius or Fahrenheit. When you go to change that (if you're American) it tells you it will update the next time the meter "wakes up".What does that mean? The next time it checks in? The next time you remove the batteries to power-cycle it? No. I did that and my app is still telling me the temp in Celsius. Restarted app, restarted phone...It works, it measures temp and moisture, I think it's accurate, and it talks to my Feit Electric app.If I could convince it to tell me the temp in the measuring system I use, I could ignore the ghastly poor instructions and give it another star.
