Definitely well-made, but the design could be better:1. they are made to replace a lug, not the original spur-holder (you could mount them there but the lug nut sleeve might rattle)2. they stick out really far (the turn-key handle)- it is almost impossible to get the kick in the drum bag- and I fear the zipper will break form the strain3. they are wicked heavyI wish they had designed it to be lower-profile

This was actually the second pair of Atlas Spurs I had bought. My Bass Drum came with a pair. But, because I have the tom mounted on an Atlas rail, the rearward balance caused the drum to want to tip toward me. So, I added these to the back of the Bass Drum. Although my Bass Drum now resembles a crab, it's now as solid as-a-rock
