Right off the bat, I'm disappointed with the misleading product description, which claims that this tool is stainless steel. It's actually aluminium. I realize that the price probably reflects the material used to make the tool, but I'm not interested in dealing with merchants that lie about what they are selling. And Amazon does a garbage job when it comes to protecting their (me) customers from this type of crap.

This did not fit over engine side water pump drive as described. Center hole not drilled properly. Disappointed.

I had to modify to make it work drilled the hole bigger to use to install on LT1 chev engine it worked after modification

I purchased this to replace the seal on my 93 Vette. I will say it is made well, but does not fit perfectly. You need to have a seamless fit on the shaft or you will roll the seal and not get a good seal. It's a big job to take this all apart again so one and done.I had to take a file and remove some material on the inner lip to get a seamless seal on my LT1. Again, be sure there is no gap between the tool and the shaft or you are wasting your time and will be back in there again!Overall it did work, but with modifications needed I am giving it a 3.

Paid $22 for the gasket kit for one oil seal.I tried to use a 1/2" deep well socket to install the oil seal. There was a small gap between the socket and the W/P spine but on-line videos it shows that this works. Did not. Ripped seal.Reorder another gasket kit ($22) and this tool. Watched and read videos and reviews, seemed like the way to go.Asked my son to come over to assist me (going broke on gasket kits), who is a great mechanic. This installer tool also did not fully seat on the W/P spine either, but it was closer. Lubed seal, placed on installer, ripped again. We were very careful.Ordered another gasket kit. Put the installer vise and using a step drill, enlarged the very tip (maybe 1/32) of the installer. Test fit and the installer now seats 100% against the spine.Repeated install, PERFECT!
