I was looking for a gate latch that I could put a padlock through, because my contractor (despite my express request) put in one that latched but couldn’t be locked. This latch will do the trick! Note that it’s relatively small (3 inches) and not heavy duty (I’d call it “medium weight,” but I’m no expert). I think it will work for my situation, but what works for one job may not be right for another.For what it’s worth, it’s also nice looking. The paint is glossy black, evenly applied without gaps or blobs.
