I got it in the dark brown and it's just beautiful! Lots to love about this with attention paid to the details of interior and overall high quality construction! Stitching is excellent upon close inspection, the leather is strong and hhas a nice feel to it, I greatly appreciate the sturdy metal zipper as so many of these have the cheaper nylon that doesn't last. The 2 slide away handles are a nice touch too.You can use this oriented however works best for you if left or right handed. There's enough pockets to keep your essentials organized while not overdoing it with needless stuff. This can be carried/used as a stand alone piece or put inside a messenger bag, briefcase, carryon, backpack... Very well made nice leatherI wish it was a double zipper. The one zipper makes it difficult to zip if it goes down too far.

It is refreshing to have a portfolio that is actually leatherI have to have a portfolio that zippers shut, and this one has a heavy duty, metal zipper that should last for years - I love the disappearing handles when needed and the fact that I can put a pad of paper in the holder on the left I needed - I was looking for something that did not have a 3 ring binder, as most have - the pockets, etc in this one all have a use and are quality stitched - would recommend this portfolio

Big enough to hold a reasonable amount of papers. Light enough to not need the handles if you don't want them out.

I love the feel of the leather and it indeed looks nice in the hand and has a professional appearance. It also will allow me to fit (just barely) my 12.9" iPad Pro into it's compartment and that is something I haven't found do-able with a number of other portfolios. Another plus in my view is the brass zipper, not nylon which is found on many similar products. While I am happy with it overall I do feel that for the price the interior just does not look very sharp. The nylon backing and gussets on the compartment pouch are not hemmed on the edges. They appear to have been heated enough to cause a melt that should prevent them from threading out on the open seams. The cell phone pocket is a nice size with a magnetic clasp but it too has no hem on the flap. For the price I just felt it was not given much attention to detail on the interior finish. Finally, I think one additional full size compartment would have been very handy but other than the iPad pocket there is not one available.

Yes, it does appear to be real leather. It does have a leather smell that is not very strong, which is good, and the parts where the backing is uncovered are clearly leather suede. But I don't think this would make a nice gift because it has too many imperfections. 1) Main snap closure pocket inside is badly warped, and badly creased and folded in the middle. 2. The card slots are very shallow and the largest bottom one is totally dysfunctional and not an actual slot even though it appears as though it should be. 3. Right side section covering and slide in sleeve for a note pad just seems very cheap and much too thin to be durable. 4. Back outside has a large scuff mark across the top center.

First, I love the handles, they slide down smoothly to be out of the way. The leather is soft and good quality. The zippers are sturdy and smooth. There is plenty of room for anything I could want to put in it. The card slots are not tight, I can easily get my cards out but they dont fall out on their own. I can put in a legal pad and my tablet. It is very elegant and professional but also a bit rustic looking. I love it for my new job, I can just grab this and go and still have everything I need.
