I installed this head on a Latin Percussion LPM 198AW. What was strange was that the original hold down hardware, a nut, a washer and a decorative chromed cover could not be replaced as in the original configuration. The head hold down rim could not be brought down far enough for the threads of the tuning rods to show through the lower brackets. I left off the washers . The instructions clearly showed all three parts (nut/washer/decorative cover) being used. Perhaps as the skin stretches the rods may come down far enough to use the washers. As it is the rubber tips that cover the threads on the tuning rods barely stay on. I suspect that the original head was over tightened and that is why it broke since the head's surface looked unused (I bought the conga as a store display).Shipping was fast and it was shipped in a padded envelope which seemed insufficient but the head really is strong and flexible. The price was ridiculously low.All things considered it was a very good purchase.
