I used this lap table to do my online class from the couch! It was comfortable and light enough to use for hour long classes. The only drawback is the wood grain textured material (like a sticker) came off on the edge in shipping but it didn’t affect the functionality.

I can put my laptop on this, and tuck it's internal drive into the pocket under the desk which means that that stays put nicely, even if I have to move the desk. I've a bit of cardboard for the mouse pad elsewhere, which deals with that. And I can PICK UP the computer and shift it easily with it on the desk.I've also used the desk for coloring in adult coloring books in bed.And I love this desk for going on a trip with. Whether I visit my best pal at her house, or her idea of accommodations, there is never anywhere for a laptop computer or a coloring book or any other project. Well, except for tables that are "decorative", or too high, or too low or which has NO comfortable seating. (As in "stylish" instead of "useful".) The desk means I can settle down somewhere and do stuff while best pal is off doing something else, which is frequently the case. (She's 67, I'm 70, we've been around together since we were babies, and being together but with different hobbies works well for us.) We just had a trip together and the desk worked VERY well with my computer.It'd work well at home, too, except that my cat always has to sit on whatever I'm doing in bed. Which is annoying, but not the fault of the desk.

The picture is a little misleading when it comes to surface area. It really doesn’t have a lot of space for a laptop and a mouse. If you have a really small laptop top or use a tablet as your cpu then this is the perfect item for you. It has plenty of storage.
