It is a great Shabbos lamp. Enough light to light up the whole room or you can adjust the cover if you want less light.The only downside is that the led bulb can not be replaced. But I have had mine for several years and I use it at least once a week for at least 25 hours and the bulb is still fine..Whenever I go away I take it along. I just put it in the box with the bag it comes with. It fits easily in my carry on. During the week if I want to read at night, the lamp can be put in a position so it won't disturb my husband but will give me enough light to read without straining my eyes.I have one in my guest room as well.

We much prefer this model to the old model heavy metal lamp, but that model used replaceable bulbs. This one doesn't, so you're buying what amounts to a very expensive LED bulb in an adjustable shroud. The light is quite bright and the adjustment settings for controlling the amount of light from the lamp are excellent.
