This is an inexpensive tablet for kids. As such, I do not expect it to have all the bells and whistles of a more expensive tablet. For a young child, this is about the amount of money I would want to spend (currently $39.99). It is very reasonably priced for the quality you receive. The screen turns off quickly, which is great with little ones who can quickly move on to something else. I am thrilled with the tablet and find it to be well-suited for my needs. However, there are a few areas with room for improvement:• While it does come with a protective plastic case, the stand on the back works only in the horizontal mode, but some apps work in vertical mode. It would be nice to have a stand that was usable in both vertical and horizontal modes.• The camera quality is very low, but it does come with both a front and back camera, which is nice.• There is no universal home button. Yes, I am a Mac/Apple user. I find a universal home button that takes me back to be much quicker than backing out of screens one at a time. This is a real drawback, but likely an Android drawback and not due to the tablet.• Finally, I was looking for a Netflix app. YouTube has an app that can be easily located in the app section. It took me a while to find Netflix in the Google Play Store. Here's the issue--you have to enable Google Play on the CHILD'S profile and then go to that profile, download Netflix, go back to the parental controls, and enable Netflix for your child's profile. Why isn't the Google Play Store in the parental controls? And why would I enable that for my kid so they could download stuff and then need to enable each app? It makes no sense to have it set up this way. It should be accessible from parental controls, with the option to also enable it for a child's profile.

For $40, this isn't a bad deal. It's a very basic Android tablet with a nice built-in case design. It allows you to download Disney+ and other apps from Google Play, but it's best feature is the built-in kid mode, that lets parents control which apps on the tablet are accessible to the kids, set time limits on tablet usage, etc. Some parental controls duplicate what Family Link from Google already allows you to do, but the kid mode is nice in that it basically serves as its own launch screen and operating system for the kid once you click into it, so they can't get into the regular Android screens or settings without knowing your pin (even restarting the device will bring them back to that, if they were in it when the tablet powered down). You can download software from the Play Store that does something similar, as we have done on tablets that we use for our older kids, but it's nice having it built-in here. This built-in system also comes with its own games and apps, which you can choose to disable if you wish. Overall, it's not a great tablet, but if you're looking for a great tablet, you're going to spend a lot more than $40. For a little kid getting their first tablet, doing basic stuff like watching videos and playing games, it works well enough for the low price.
