I have quite a few thread cones and large spools that are too big for my spool rack, so I purchased this. In comparison to my standard spool rack, it’s expensive, costing twice as much, although it’s not larger. It takes no assembly, but it doesn’t come with a hanging option, so I added the necessary hardware and it hangs nicely. The pegs are long enough, but not too long. Unfortunately, the diameter of the dowels is too large to fit Gutermann 876 yard spools, which is evidently my preferred thread when I look at my collection. I would not have purchased this had that information been available. But it does what it says and holds cones. (Gutermann 876 will fit my smaller rack, but are too wide to fit side by side.)

The back pegs are a little wobbly and I wish the pegs were a bit taller. I like to double stack my regular spools of thread. Overall good product.

I bought a smaller version of this rack some years ago for regular sized spools of thread, but have started buying some of the 1093 yard spools of Mara 100 which accumulated to the point of needing their own rack. The spindles are 1/4" d x 2 3/4" h vs the regular rack which are 3/16" d x 1 1/4" h. The larger spools are much more stable on this rack. The only downside is that my bobbins won't fit onto the larger spindles. Its nice to store the bobbins on the smaller rack under the spool they go with.To conserve space, I pulled the horizontals off the stand and mounted them on pieces of yardstick at a closer spacing. A little paint, and my sewing area is organized AND spiffy.

Mounted this on the wall and is working out perfectly! The 3000 yd cones you have to put on the peg skinny side down to put others above and below but thats fine for ease of putting iff and on. The 1500 yd ones fit fine normally. I have one of these with shorter pegs for reg thread and l liked that so was happy to find same for serger cones. Seems sturdy enough. Not really something that gets a lot of rough use. Easy enough to drill two holes to screw onto wall.

I was pleasantly surprised by how sturdy it was. I was also concerned that it might not fit 3000m spools but it's not a problem (bigger than 3000m would be a problem).I'm very happy with my purchase. The only thing I wish it had was little eyelet hook because I'm going to hang it on the wall (to keep my table space free from clutter). It's not a big deal to add eyelet hooks myself but some of the other thread holders have this feature already.

Even though I don't sew, I always wondered how I could use a thread rack. After accumulating dozens and dozens of washi tape, I felt that this was the best solution! I didn't want to buy yet another plastic container, as I would probably have to buy at least 3-4. For that price, I got one rack, and I still have room to add more washi tape! The rack holds up the weight well. The back legs swing out, but were uneven. Not a dealbreaker, but thought I should still mention it.Overall, great product for holding threads I'm sure, but also great for washi tape! :)Also modeling the rack.. my cat, Aslan.

Reviews saying this rack was flimsy or not well made must be describing a fluke--this is the same June Tailor rack they sell in Joann Fabrics. The only thing I found odd was that these used to come with drilled holes to hang them from two nails/hooks on a wall, and now there is no way to hang this rack at all. I drilled a 1/4" hole in each support, and it is hanging just fine, but I had to get out the drill.Something to keep in mind--I hang a lot of wall art with Command strips velcro . . . when this rack is full of cone thread, those Command velcro strips will not hold this on a painted wall.

Great size. Holds bigger cones/serger cones really well. Sturdy build. Didnt pay attention to dimensions so bigger than expected. Happy I have it though. Not sure how well it stands as I hand it on a peg board.

Used in my sewing room, very versatile! Legs fold flat so it was easily mounted on the wall( mounting hardware not included) but easily fabricated. Holds cone thread spool securely! Great compliment to the smaller thread racks.

Built and works well. Does what it should, holds your thread spools so they aren't falling all over the place causing your husband to constantly Trip over them.

Excellent bit of kit. I've put it on the wall to save space so would have been good to have had pre drilled holes. Still worth 5 stars though
