Product came in plastic case which was helpful to keep it all together. Replacing on a door that was in our recently purchased 1979 house. Don't know how old the door is but the old latch was stiff and didn't work well. Easy to install but the screws were too small but don't think that would be a ding to the seller since I don't know what the original installed latch was or size of those screws. It seems to latch easy and hold well Overall very happy with this latch.
