So long story short after buying a couple died, used ones I bought for used ones in hopes to get one good one at a really good price of the four I kept the one that looked the best which was clearly installed Because I could see the grease fingerprints and where the washers were well took me over a year to get the truck lifted, and all the custom work I was doing to it and long past the return date totally aware of some of the issues people have with these and for me I put it on like the reprogram instruction say running for three minutes turn it off for 90 seconds running for three minutes turn it off for 90 seconds and if in between there you get any check engine code related to the throttlebody or power loss reset them when they come on and then continue and if it doesn’t idle out after the second or third time doing That then there was more stuff to look into it for me. I ran it for the first three minutes turn the truck off for 90 seconds went to restart it, and battery was dead. I forgot the jumper box hooked up a renter for the first three minutes I turned it off for 90 seconds, and I went to turn it back on for the next three minutes and it purred like a baby kitten.. I can’t believe how smooth and steady it idols and I didn’t have any other problems didn’t have to do any other programming and I got interrupted with a dead battery and all I had to do was running for three minutes turned off for 90 seconds turn it back on, and the thing I cannot believe how smooth it Idles. I also have a Granatelli mass airflow sensor and a short Ramen take, which is a filter about 4 inches from the throttlebody and then I bored out a 1 inch throttle body spacer That I had on my card and 130,000 miles stock body Hey, I as well have performance wires and as performance edition packs as you can get without getting the MSD high dollar ones but there’s a huge difference from 130,000 miles original one it runs way smoother than my 2000 1200 thousand mile Silverado 1500 unquestionably it’s just smooth so I went from one start at five

Jet claims improved hp throughout the entire range. That is not the case. I showed no improvement in 0-60 times. It seemed to good to be true but I needed a replacement for the throttle body that’s been in my truck for 280,000 miles. With the idea to test their claims in The back of my head I timed 0-60 before I swapped out the part. The diameter isn’t larger, electronic components aren’t doing any magical stuff either. It’s basically a stock throttle body that has some fancy ported grooves. It’s just not possible to get more air through a particular size opening without turbos or charged air. There’s just no science here that I can tell. Fairy dust, smoke and mirrors.

This thing really made a huge difference! My 2003 Tahoe (198k Mi) had a very sluggish response and a “dead” spot in the pedal, after this super easy install, it was like a brand new engine. I coupled this with a K&N drop in filter and it made such a noticeable difference in the overall throttle response, mileage and HP. Great product, going to add spacer soon!

I'm not completely sold on the fact that this unit is worth the price you pay, instead of a factory replacement. I installed yesterday, following all the directions. It works, does not flag my computer. Throttle response is slightly better, but I think more, it is because of the old one being a bit gummed up internally. I already had all the other upgrades done, cold air intake, computer tune, headers, flowmaster exhaust, on my 05, 5.3. By itself, like I said, did not notice much.Update: I reviewed the jet MAF, did not like all the negative reviews about it not working with CAI's. I finally found a MAF made for CAI's, made by granatelli motorsports. I installed it, and it really awoke it. I LIKE IT!! my truck, hands down, runs and drives much better now, than when I bought it. It has 182,000 miles on it, and it is going strong. Also, installing a corvette servo in the tranny helped out a lot with firmer shifting. By themselves, these things don't work great, but together, it's nice. I would also recommend freeing up exhaust first, before trying to shove more air in.

Installation was easy. Shipped with NO instructions. Once installed, the engine light came on it said "reduced engine power". I called JET, the prompted me to unplug and unhook the battery for 10 minutes, hook everything back up and let it idle for a 20 minute period until the PCU "learns" the electronics. After hours of 4 attempts still no luck, called JET again and was prompted to get it reprogrammed with a TECH 2 GM scanner, that only a chevy dealership would have. Dropped it off at dealership, they tested the unit and failed to reprogram it because the throttle body was receiving ZERO voltage!Codes P0120, P0220, and P1516 kept coming up. Throttle Plate Sensor Failure. The throttle plate would not move wit the new unit. They had to reinstall my old unit which threw no codes whatsoever and worked fine afterwards.Cost me over $125 for a failed reprogram and to reinstall the old one, hours of my time, and a day without my work truck all to find out that the unit I received was defective. So much for "quick and easy installation." Very dissapointed

Best price anywhere for a great upgrade for my '05 Chevy Silverado 5.3L Vin "Z"~ Much more responsive then my factory stock & works very well with my throttle body spacer upgrade, Jet MAF & K/N Cold Air Intake + filter~ Using Hypertech 3 Power Programmer, Borla Heads & Borla Cat-Back Dual Exhaust my 5.3 has 60-70 more ponies then stock, much more responsive, sounds tough & gets about the same mileage when I keep my foot out of it~ If you want something that feels more like you really have a throttle cable connected to the pedal, instead of a stupid electrical wire, then this is your upgrade~
