I suspect that most people subscribing to a "coax telecom provider" will experience a "hum" noise problem at some point when adding/upgrading their audio system. All components are electrically connected to each other and could often be contaminated by the coax signal, wich is also shared with the neighbors electrical circuitry. This high-quality filter is the solution: Compatible with both UHD digital video signal and high-speed Internet signal. I'm extremely impressed.

Those that have struggled with noise (hum and buzz) in their nice audio systems when Xfinity cable boxes are connected will find decent relief with this little ground loop isolator. It’s not perfect, but tolerable.I had attempted to add an external power amp to my Denon AVR, but abandoned this as I could never figure out how to eliminate this noise. The Denon has no ground connection to the AC power, and I originally blamed this.A support person (at more than one manufacturer) asked if I had an xfinity box present (especially in the Seattle, WA area). Xdinity has no idea, nor comment on this...So I unplugged the cable to the box, connected the fear as I wanted, and it was dead quiet.Reconnecting all with this filter in the cable between wall and cable box yielded a reasonable level of noise.

This worked exactly as advertised. I could not be any happier.Prior to installing this product, I had a very noticeable and very annoying 60Hz hum coming from my subwoofer. I had traced the cause of this hum as being due to the coax cable coming from my wall that was connected to my digital (HDTV) cable set top box (when I disconnected the coax cable the hum went away; when I reconnected the coax cable the hum came back).I took a chance on this particular isolation transformer for no other reason than a combination of the price and the many other positive reviews it had received. It comes with one end labeled "Subscriber" and the other end labeled "System." I connected the end labeled "Subscriber" to the coax cable coming from my wall. I then connected a second coax cable to the end labeled "System" and connected that to my set top box. The hum I used to hear from across the room at my normal sitting position is completely gone! I also do not see any impact to the quality of HD broadcasts. I don't have any 4K content coming through my set top box, but I doubt that would be negatively impacted either.Full disclosure: when I put my ear right next to the subwoofer, there is a still a VERY faint hum, but I think that is just a normal occurrence when the subwoofer power is on. Otherwise I am 100% satisfied with this product.

I wasn't sure if this would work for me, as my needs are quite specialized. However, it worked great for my niche computer hobby.I'm using a computer game/computer released in January 1978 called the Bally Arcade/Astrocade. The game system uses RF-out. I have it hooked up to a demodulator (which converts RF to composite). The composite output is then hooked up via HDMI (through an X-RGB-Mini Framemeister) to a widescreen LCD monitor. This RF-output looks fine on the HDMI monitor without the isolation transformer, but just a few days ago I noticed that I could not save any BASIC programs through my system's I/O port: I was getting tons of RF noise within the Astrocade system. I tried everything that I could think of to fix this problem. As a last ditch effort, and without much hope, I ordered this 5-2400Mhz isolation transformer. Maybe it would at least reduce the noise somewhat and allow me to save my programs. Imagine my surprise that not only did this transformer reduce the noise, it completely removed it. I mean, literally, if I look at the I/O channel now, there is zero noise present. All that is there is what is supposed to be there: the computer very clean tape signal.I don't understand the technology behind this little miracle device, but whatever it does, it works flawlessly. My needs are clearly specialized, but if you're working with old game consoles or computers that use RF-out, and you're getting noise in your system's I/O then I would certainly try this $20 device. I can't believe how good that it works for me!

When I used my subwoofer, I had a hum from all speakers in my home theater, which went away when I disconnected either the sub or the line into my cable box. Ground-fault feedback loop was corrected by this product in between cable line in and cable box. Great product.

After the cable company worked on my cable line I was getting very noticeable hum on my subwoofer. I told them about it, but they acted like it couldn't possible be their cable. According to the subwoofer manual, the solution to ground loop hum was addind a 2-prong plug adapter on the 3-prong subwoofer plug. That worked. However, after I bought a nice pair of Sennheiser headphones, I could also notice the hum over the headphones through the receiver, no matter what input it was set to. There was no solution offered in the receiver manual, but I suspected it was still the cable. Later, watching a Paul McGowan (CEO of PS Audio) YouTube video he mentioned a solution could be found on their website. While they mention adding an isolation transformer on your cable TV line, their link to products was not very good. I decided to look on Amazon and found this product, so I ordered it. It arrived today, and I installed it on my cable line upstream of any devices I had hooked up to cable. Not only did it eliminate all hum in my receiver, but I also removed the adapter from my subwoofer plug, and there was no hum there either. This is a great device and easy to install. It needs to be installed on the incoming cable line, not on any lines coming from components as one reviewer tried to do. The PS Audio site said that cable TV is known for this hum problem, but the cable companies won't offer a fix. This was relatively easy to install, but you will need an additional short piece of cable with female connectors on each end to complete the installation. I added this to my cable line into the house just before the splitter connecting to various devices.

This thing works great. I complained to my cable provider that I was getting ground loop noise and asked them to put a filter on the line. They came, tested everything and then assured me there was no need for a filter as the problem was with my equipment. I ordered this guy and it worked perfectly.
