The printer is easy to install and works well with Windows laptops and Pixel phones. The text can be slightly misaligned with the paper, and an automatic alignment feature would improve accuracy. While the text is readable, it could be crisper. The included paper is thin and has a watermark indicating the correct print side. Printing on the wrong side simply feeds the sheet through. At about 10 cents per sheet, the cost could be lower. It's affordable for quick on-the-go printing, such as invoices, but not suited for high-quality prints. Overall, it’s convenient for portable use with some minor drawbacks.

So why did I get this printer? As someone who plays a lot of tabletop RPGs like dungeons and dragons and such, you often need character sheets, but not everyone seems to have a printer. I used to have a small printer, but it required to be plugged into an outlet and needed a computer. There was an option for a battery but it was $70 extra, and now they don't even make ink for it.So! when I spotted this little guy I thought he would be perfect. There are some aspects that I am unsure on, but will need more testing!Pro:Small and Light: This doesn't weigh very much at all, it doesn't need to since its thermal. Connects via USB-C, or Bluetooth and comes with a USB-A to USB-C cable. This thing is the size of mini paper scanner I have, so together this is great.Good App: So it does require an app on the phone, but has drivers for the computer. So often these don't have PC functions. The app seems to also be updated. The 3-4 star reviews seem to have had their concerns adressed, which was mostly having to manually enter paper size by MM instead of a drop down.Paper Choices: Ok, so this has a few options, not just size, but if you are using a roll or continues tear-off sheets. It has a metal rip spot so should you be using a roll you can easily and cleanly tear it off.Cons:Paper - This is also a con, at least with the paper that came with it. It is so thin, but is needed since it is thermal. Its basically a page sized receipt paper, maybe just -slightly- thicker. It comes with 10 sheets but they come rolled up in the box. Still this is something you will have to accept for the convenience of mobility without ink. This also means keep an eye on your paper, you will NOT want to store it in a hot car. I have not tested the paper, or other brands yet, but this is not a con of the printer, just this kind of printing method.Price: Seems a bit high for a company I've never heard of, but given the state of the world right now, makes sense its at this price point. Still: Compared to mobile printers with ink its smaller, and a fraction the price!Unknowns: Life expectancy of printing head. It uses heat, and these can wear out. I know this well from my time doing IT for stores and that includes receipt printers. Another is the App, there are a few of these printers out there and if this company will hold out. The fact it has drivers for PC means there is more to work with, but this is just a concern with any electronic these days.Quality: The print quality is Servicable. For what I need it for is perfect. Just make sure you are using text, or black and white things, doing something color will not translate super well. But if you need: Notes, documents, etc it is perfect.Again: Just be aware it is thermal, so you don't want your paper to be stored someplace hot!
