This mount works well. The clamp holds on strong and provides 2 locations to place your radio or mic. The ball mount allows you to have your radio on hand with quick access. It was super easy to put together and very well built.

I finally have my PTT where I like it for my mobile radio and a spot to put my portable when I am packing it off road. I dont use the claw clamp, just the arm and the radio mount bar since I had the ball mount installed already.This fits my portable Motorola XTS 5000 and it's PTT or the PTT for my TYT 9800 series mobile radio.This set is manufactured more quality than I expected. It is made of hefty material (cast plasic?) that does feel cheap or flimsy.I was able to tighten everything enough that it didn't budge at all while I was driving for hours on dirt roads today with plenty of washboarding...which anyone knows who spends time off-road on dirt trails and tracks...is enough to rattle and shimmy the entire contents of your vehicle loose if you don't that last bit of torque to tighten things down (and not break anything in the process.)I have a 1" ball mount added to the dash of my 100 series Land Cruiser that I hadn't gotten around to using. Finally I got so sick of the awkward placement of my PTT hook on the center console housing that I ordered this.Now, the PTT is right in front of where my hand rests when my elbow is on the armrest or the top of the center console. Easy grab, easy hang. Before, I had to twist my hand and wrist at a weird angle and could never get my PTT on the hook without looking while I was driving which is *no beuno* when you are driving curvy shelf roads.I am pleasantly surprised at how well it all went together.
