I love the size and spacing of these! My plants did really well. I do however prefer the customer service by aerogarden. Aerogarden does have reminders of when to add fertilizer and this one does not. The quality may not be as good as aerogarden, however it does get the job done

This system really worked well for germination and starting our plants with lots of roots, before we transplanted to the Garden. Soon we will try a crop for germinate to harvest production and see how that works out. But simplicity is what this is all about. It is fun to watch growth in plants just within hours.

Planted some herbs and they sprouted on schedule and the plants grew rapidly. You have to watch the water level as the growing plants use a lot. Don't know what's in the supplied nutrients, but it is rather expensive and my next experiment will to see how the commercial products work. Pretty good value and easily maintained so far.

Seems like a good product. Mine came with only 16 plastic pod covers . And, the light and pump did not go on automatically - at least not when I expected them to. Would like to get the 4 missing covers and a better explanation for how it is supposed to work (what to expect).Update: 12/12/24Tech support replied very quickly to my email. Instead of sending the four missing pod covers, they sent a whole package of supplies:- 12 planting pods- 24 sponges- 16 stickers- 12 light blocking stickers- 1 bottle of A- 1 bottle of B- 1 bag of A- 1 bag of B- 12 pod coversThey also fully explained what to expect (how it works):Usage InstructionsLet me provide some details about how the SP01L18 system operates:1. Automatic Timers:o The lights and pump are controlled by an automatic timer that starts from the moment you first turn on the unit.o The lights will remain on for 16 hours and then turn off for 8 hours in a repeating cycle. For example, if you turn the unit on at 8:00 AM, the lights will stay on until midnight and then turn off, starting the next cycle at 8:00 AM the following day.2. Pump Operation:o The water pump operates in a cycle of 10 minutes on, followed by 30 minutes off, ensuring proper oxygenation and water flow for healthy plant growth.3. Why the Unit Didn’t Start Automatically:o If the unit doesn’t come on at the expected time, it may have been manually adjusted, resetting the timer cycle. To ensure consistent operation, turn off the unit and turn it back on at the desired starting time. This will reset the timer to begin its 16-hour light cycle and the pump schedule.This product works so well and the support is so good that I decided to take advantage of holiday pricing and buy three more!
