I am using this as weed block and it's pretty thick and durable, and I'm doubling it just becasue I want even more blocking! I am putting wood chips on top and nothing is coming through unless there is a hole, a gap in coverage, or where the edge meets foundation/fencing or where the edge mees the landscape blocks, but that is unavoidable. Still very few weeds coming thru at the edges though, so I just pull them easily or zap them with weed killer when their first appear - but the beds themselves are weed-free!

Used to burn out roots of invasive species in our backyard. Nice weight. 14’ width made it easy to install in two/three strips-fewer weights needed. Time will tell if the roots burn out.

This year I found that deer droppings had gotten onto my garden soil. After the garden was tilled, I found that deer droppings may contain ecoli bacteria, which meant that I wouldn't be planting anything in the garden this year. I had learned that black plastic would heat up the soil and kill any bacteria, plus weeds, if left on the garden for a few months. This 6 mil plastic was easy to handle and two pieces side by side covered the affected area. I now have tomatoes growing in gro bags which are on top of the plastic.
