Portable Winch's HPPE rope choker is a great accessory to use in combination with their skidding cone (PCA-1290), whether you are retrieving game or hauling felled trees! The PCA-1372 rope choker is made form high-performance polyethylene fibers (HPPE), some of the strongest and most solid fibers in the world. HPPE fiber cables have been used on boats and in industry for many years, and now Portable Winch Co. offers this same material in their choker chains! These chokers are made of HPPE fiber rope with a diameter of 10 mm and a minimum breaking strength of 69 kN. They are extremely light, solid, and durable. Three 6mm chain links and a 30 cm needle at the end allow them to be pushed under logs or into the opening of skidding cones and to attach to flat hooks. A splice forming a long eyelet at the other end is used to choke the load. These choker chains are a true pleasure to work with! A great accessory to use in combination with the skidding cone (PCA-1290), the pulling plate (PCA-1310) and the locking grab hook (PCA-1282), all available separately.

It's a chocker chain, it works the way it should. Just don't use for stupid things and it will work great.

The metal rod makes it easy to thread the chain under the logs. It’s strong and stays around the logs.

Great product! No more frustration of chokers coming un hooked. Thinking of buying a couple more so that we can be rigging logs while the skidder has gone with the choker that I bought.

84 inch chain with 5/16 hook and 12-ish inch log probe. Chain is gr70 9/32 short link which is good for chokers vs longer link chain. Smaller chain Is a bit loose in the 5/16 hook, would be nice to find a hook made for 1/4 chain but all of my 1/4 chains are this way, have not yet found a true 1/4 hook

First and foremost, the choker chain was delivered as promised and does the job I intended it for, that is removing brush and small trees along our stone fences using a subcompact tractor.We have also used a chain with ring choker, and found this chain with the 'C' hook easier and quicker to rig, especially when removing thicker brush.The only issue I have, which is a personal preference. I really would have preferred the chain to have the short links that seem to be shown in the advertisers photo. However, the longer chain links do work if I double wrap the chain around the smaller bushes for extra gripping.

Just what I wanted for pulling logs with my atv and also with my tractor. The metal rod makes it very easy to pass the chain underneath the log.The choker link lets the chain tighten around the log without slipping.The chain is very strong while still being lightweight.

I have only used it this evening as I ordered it last week. But it has payed for its self the first day! I was able to pull several downed large trees and a metal pole with concrete base out of the ground.With this slip hook design it does well holding the chain within the hook while allowing it to tighten up on the tree when pulling.I used my front end loader to lossen a old metal pole a dish would have been mounted to back in the day. Used the chain and slip hook to lift it up and drag it to the back of my land. It is a very handy tool!
