Herm. Sprenger Chrome Plated Steel Dog Collar with Short Links, ClicLock Buckle and BioThane insert
SIZE: This collar is designed for dogs with the neck size measuring UP TO 16 - 17 inches. Overall collar length is 20 inches. Wire gauge is 3mm. If needed, adjust collar length by removing or adding pronged links to the desired length. Additional pronged middle links are sold separately.
Herm. Sprenger training dog collar with ClicLock buckle in a middle is a newly designed alternative to traditional prong training collars. Quickly unfasten the collar even with one hand by unlocking the buckle.
The prong collar is made of durable, rust resistant chrome plated steel. The polished finish of the chrome plated steel gives the collar a high gloss, distinctive look. This collar offers strength and durability. With proper fit, the collar is safe for dogs and promotes positive training experience.

Assembly Chain and Swivel D-Ring
The Herm. Sprenger training dog collar features a martingale style assembly chain. The chain tightens the collar if the dog pulls on the leash while walking.
Swivel D-Ring connects with the leash and provides a full 360-degree rotation. This feature prevents tangling and allows complete mobility of the leash.
ClicLock Buckle
Comfort and security are offered by patented “ClicLock” buckle made of stainless steel. The buckle is used to fasten the collar around the dog’s neck without pulling it over the head. Plastic jacket protects the clasp against unintended opening and soiling. The jacket is designed to slide out completely from an open buckle. If the jacket was lost, the function of the buckle mechanism will not be affected. The buckle functions as intended as long as you hear a loud click at the time of the closing.
Short Links
This collar has unique short links of the same size as of 2.25 mm wire links, but with the strength of 3 mm links. There are seven links on each side for precise fitting possibilities. The shorter links with larger thickness are the best for very active but slim dogs for which the 2.25 mm wire is not sufficiently strong.
BioThane Inserts Available in a Variety of Colors
Durable BioThane poly webbed material of the insert is made by coating polyester webbing with a polymer. The insert securely connects the buckle to the prongs of the collar.

Effective Training and Behavior Correction Tool
The training collar should fit snugly on the dog’s neck just under the jaw line, although, the collar should not fit too tight. The protective black plastic jacket on the buckle is designed to slide on and off the unfastened buckle. It is strongly recommended to use a backup collar while training your dog with the prong collar.

Previously I had a regular 3.0 mm prong for my bloodhound, but I had a problem with the length. I could either have it be slightly too loose or I could have it be too tight. When I found out about short link 3mm prongs, I decided to try one at some point in the hopes of a better fit.I have finally gotten one and it fits the bill perfectly (I actually got 2 - one black one chrome)! In addition, the quick release makes it much less of a pain to put on and take off than a traditional prong where you have to undo and redo a link every time.Now I have a much better fit and an overall easier to use piece of equipment!

Herm Sprenger is THE gold standard for prong collars. Made in Germany, they are a company I've come to love and trust.This prong collar is the the quality you expect with HS. It's incredibly well made and sturdy. I trust my 90lb German Shepherd with these collars. I got this one for my crazy Catahoula; it does the job! She is much easier to control and with corrections, she is much better when she sees other dogs. This collar is easy to put on and easy to take off with the clip. There is a slide cover for the clip so you are certain the collar is securely on. Excellent collar- the best brand of prong collars!

this is nice an solid and fits well. The clasp has a double lock to keep securely on your dog.
