TRAUMATIC! IT was cute. My daughter liked the coverage. She swam in it four times and on that fourth swim it completely drained of color. I swear it happened while we were at the pool. Well, it was surprisingly washed out at the beginning and after 45 minutes it was an ugly dinjy tan. To make it worse the only spots of blue were where the pads were! And without color it was translucent!! Like a wet white T-shirt! Only having the skirt as an extra layer saved her from ultimate embarrassment. As it was we left the pool early. We picked this exclusively because it covers up more than your average swimsuit! Piece of trash!

This set is perfect. It doesn’t show a lot of skin and perfectly fits my daughter. I love it so much, I would recommend.

Got this for the granddaughter as she has outgrown her old one. She loves the colors and the skirt. The material is very soft so it's very comfortable. This is a good suit and worth the cost.

We often take our nieces and nephews swimming, to the water park, and to the splash-pad, so we like to have some swimsuits on hand in case they forget theirs when they come to visit. When I saw this particular swimsuit, I knew my 12-year-old niece would love it, so I ordered it in the B Blue colour in size 11 – 14. It came neatly folded and packaged in a clear, plastic, ziploc-type bag.The swimsuit looks almost exactly as it has been represented in the photos on the product page. The blue is somewhat lighter than the photos show. In reality, the blue is even softer (paler?) than a baby blue, and it is set off by contrasting white flourishes throughout. This swimsuit comes in two pieces, with the main suit being one piece and the accompanying skirt being the second piece, so your child could wear the swimsuit on its own without the skirt. The swimsuit is made of an 82% nylon and 18% spandex blend. This is better than the usual polyester mix, since nylon is much more breathable than polyester. Also, nylon doesn't absorb water and it dries quickly, which makes it perfect for a swimsuit. It's also fairly tough and resists abrasion, although it can be prone to runs. The spandex adds a bit of stretch to the fabric. The fabric is also 50+ SPF, which will protect your little one from the harmful rays of the sun. The material is soft with a silky, almost slippery feel and a silky sheen to the fabric. The swimsuit is made in true rash-guard style with a high round neck, set-in sleeves that are classic t-shirt length, and bottoms that resemble board shorts. There is a zipper inserted in the front of the suit that reaches from the top of the neckline to well below the breast-area and approaching the natural waist-area. The zipper appears to be made of metal and works smoothly. It has been sewn in such a way as to keep material away from the teeth, so you don't have to worry about getting material stuck in the zipper. There is mild support in the breast-area with some lining and two removable bra pads that will be supportive enough for most girls of this age. The crotch area is also lined with a mesh-like material, but I'm not sure what that material is made of since the product tag is written in Mandarin. I will say that this lining material doesn't look or feel like the material that the swimsuit is fashioned from. The skirt is made of the same material as the swimsuit and is fitted with an elastic waist. The elastic is about 1.5” wide, which is a good width for durability and to prevent the waist from rolling. It's a simple a-line cut that is pretty much flattering on any body type. It puts me in mind of skirts women wear while playing tennis. Though it's not pleated, the elastic waist makes it appear as if the skirt is lightly pleated. The skirt drapes nicely, floating away from the body and giving the skirt some swing. Both the swimsuit and skirt have been serge sewn and the seams are all good and straight with no erratic sewing, no dropped or pulled stitches and no loose threads. My 12-year-old niece generally takes size 13 – 14 and the size 11 – 13 in this swimsuit and skirt combo fits her very nicely. The body of the swimsuit has a body-con fit, so it's snug, but then, most swimsuits are supposed to hug the body. There is a little bit of room in the sleeves and legs for comfort and the allowance of movement. The sleeves cover the top part of my niece's biceps and the legs cover the top half of her thighs, fully covering her derriere. When she wears the skirt, it skims over the hems of the legs of the swimsuit, so it's a nice, modest length. My niece says she feels comfortable in this swimsuit and that it doesn't feel too tight like other swimsuits can tend to do. She likes the look of it and says she likes that it covers “everything” so she doesn't constantly have to pull the top up or the bottoms down like she does with other swimsuits. I like the extra coverage this swimsuit gives her as compared to most swimsuits because it gives her much more protection from the harmful rays of the sun. While swimming, she feels almost like she is wearing a “second skin”, so she gives no thought to the swimsuit even being there, which is a good sign. When she is swimming, she wears the swimsuit without the skirt, but she likes to wear the skirt when she is out of the water because the likes the look of it and she feels a little more secure with the extra coverage she gets from it. She says the skirt is, likewise, comfortable to wear. The elastic waist is tight enough to keep the skirt from moving around, but not so tight as to cause discomfort. She just loves that, when she spins, the skirt flows outward like a skater's skirt. We find that the swimsuit does, indeed, dry quickly and it also seems to be sand-resistant which is another nice bonus. My niece loves this swimsuit and skirt set so much that she always “forgets” to bring her own swimsuit when she comes so she can wear this one. I don't mind that at all.Laundering instructions can be difficult to see since the product tag in this swimsuit is in very fine print and I couldn't see it with my reading glasses on. Most of the text is in Mandarin, as well, so that wasn't helpful to me. However, neither nylon nor spandex likes heat so I suggest hand-washing this set in cold water using a detergent for delicates. This set should also be hung to air-dry. I can hand-wash this in the evening and it's dry by morning, so it does dry really quickly My niece has worn this swimsuit about a dozen times so far and it has been washing up well. I've noticed no shrinking, pilling, pulls, runs or fading so far.At $45.99 regularly, this swimsuit is probably a little more expensive than most people would like to pay for a children's swimsuit. In defense of the price, this swimsuit is made of better materials than the average children's swimsuit is, not to mention, it offers more coverage than most swimsuits do, and you get a cute skirt with it. At the moment, Happy Cherry is offering a coupon code for 10%, so if you've been considering this swimsuit, now would be a good time to pull the trigger. I hope this review has helped you to make the purchasing decision that is right for you and your child(ren). Happy swimming!

We really like this rash guard style swimsuit for our kiddos. Not only does the additional coverage provide some welcome modesty at the beach or the pool, but it's also a great for providing additional protection from the sun.If you do any sort of boogie boarding or active play at the beach, it's nice having a bit of extra coverage from getting abrasions from the sand and shells. The fit is nice, the fabric is thick enough to stay put and feel very premium, and the colors are tastefully chosen.Past a certain size, they also include pads in the chest area as well which is a nice touch.Overall, we're very happy with these and will definitely order them again in the future when we need the next size up!
