- Setting up the car seat is very easy to do reassemble and disassemble. My son really gets motion sickness and usually throws us 1-2 times once a month.- The manual and the packaging was really handled with lots of care.- Seat belts are very secured- Fits great in a small care to a SUV.- Great for long drives- Very sturdy. Great quality.- Always so easy to adjust when my son grows.- Really brings peace of mind that my son is safe and secured. It’s very easy to use and my son is very comfortable.Overall I highly recommend this product. It was even more perfect that I got this on sale.

We bought this after rerurning the Britax Frontier which wouldn't have provided the longevity we had hoped for our son who is 44 inches tall and 44 pounds. He is not ready to sit without a harness so we purchased the Frontier since the weight limit goes up to 65 pounds uaing the 5 point harness. Sadly, the shoulder straps had to be extensed to the highest setting and left no room for growth. We purchased the Nautilus because we had used Graco car seat before and had a good experience. We were thrilled that the shoulder straps had to only be set on the third from the top setting which ensures that our son can use the harness for a long time, if needed. My husband installed the car seat, in no exaggeration, less than 4 minutes. I thought he came back inaide because he forgot something or needed help. He said it was the easiest car seat he's ever installed. To top that off, he said it was the tightest of any car seat, too.Our son loves the little storage cubbies but my husband said they'll just end up full of crumbs. I guess we'll see! I just don't understand why there's only one cup holder, though. It does seem to be on the narrow side, at least compared to our Old Evenflo Symphony. My son still uses Nuby straw sippy cup and while it fits in the Nautilus cup holders, it's a tight fit and it doesn't sit perpendicular. These are minor issues and all in all, the whole family loves this car seat! I think all of us would happily buy it again.

Graco touts this as "the last car seat you'll ever buy", and I can see that being true. We own several Graco products (a stroller being one) and this one is in line with the rest, being of obvious high-quality. But the main appeal to us was the "3-in-1" aspect, being able to convert from full seat to backed booster to just booster (thus the main point to the claim "last seat you'll ever buy"), meaning there should (theoretically) no need to replace the seat as our daughter grows. But back to the quality: it's evident the moment you take it out of the box. The seat is fairly heavy, giving a impression of sturdiness and build quality. Everything on it feels well-made, nothing cheap. The padding seems excellent (one of my first comments to the wife was "I wish I was small enough to sit in this thing for a minute"), and the main portion is removable for washing (another big plus to us). The belts and buckles all seem "heavy duty". There is, of course, a good bit of plastic in the design, but it's definitely of that high-strength type. Seems practically bulletproof. As far as other "features", well, there's not that much to talk about---it's a car seat. The main one, I suppose, is the "simply safe" adjustment system, which I'm sure will be great when the times comes that it does need adjusting. Pulling on one lever allows you to adjust the entire back (including the height of the shoulder belts) up and down, thus no re-threading of belts, etc.We do like the recline feature, and although at first there seems to be laughably little "travel" to the adjustment, in practice it actually does change the angle of the back a good bit (the idea being that your kid's head is better able to remain laying back on the headrest of the seat when he/she falls asleep, rather than lolling forward (chin on chest), as it does if the seat back is too vertical. One feature that I would suggest that would make this seat an A+ would be movable armrests. In our car (hatchback), it's a bit challenging getting daughter in and out of the seat due to having to lift her up and over the (sizable) armrest. But maybe manufacturers intentionally don't make the arm rests movable for safety reasons; it's likely got more structural strength that way. Meh, we mostly have our technique down already and it's actually really no more fuss than it was getting her in and out of her baby seat. The cup holder is a nice add-on, I suppose. We're rarely in the car long enough for the kid to be carrying along a beverage, but I guess it'll come in handy on road trips.Of course the seat can be mounted into the car via the latch system, or using the seat belts. Either way seems pretty straight-forward, but I really appreciate that our vehicle has the latch system; it took all of twenty seconds to install the seat once I had it set up (which took maybe five minutes).Lastly, it seems like a good value to me, and I'm the type that does TONS of research before any major purchase. I found many similar seats that were $50-$150 more expensive than this one and frankly, I can't come up with what they could improve on over this one to justify that money. An additional cup holder? :)I recommend this car seat without reservation!

My 3 year old has enjoyed his new car seat for a few months now. Some things I love about it: It reclines, the side head support allows for good headrest for sleeping, and the button adjustable harness is amazing!! I love not having to undo all of the straps every time my son grows a little. I also love the cup holder and the little compartments. My son has had fun with those. Somethings I'm not a huge fan of at this point: all of the extra pads that came on the straps. After a few days, I ended up ripping them all off because they got in the way so much. Much more of a pain than they were worth, and that includes the extra little seat pad. I also have a hard time with the crotch strap because it almost always gets stuck under my son's bum when we are getting in the car and I have to go fishing for it every time I buckle him in. I think this is because of 1: how short the strap is, and 2, because the bottom portion of the seat is slanted a little, so it makes the buckle fall onto the back of the seat. We're still figuring out how to work with that, but soon we'll probably just move him to the car buckle instead of the 5 point harness anyway. Overall, we like this seat a lot and it has served us well so far.
