Used for one season thus far. Latches keep coming apart - not just unlocking, but the piece that snaps around the hook on the door literally just keeps falling off. The cotter pins for the hinges are tiny and keep breaking, so the hinge pins fall out.When it works, it works just fine - but it's always breaking so you spend more time repairing it then actually spreading with it.Save yourself the headache. Spend more, get a better quality one.

I needed something to spread peat moss over my yard. I tried a fertilizer spreader but it just got clogged up. This works perfectly. The only change I would have made is to buy the larger model as this quickly goes through a bag of peat moss.

It took a bit of patience to line up the bolt holes in the mesh with the side pieces and the little wrench thingies they provide are useless (get a proper one from your tool box) but once that was done, assembly was easy. The spreader worked well at distributing a fairly even depth of topsoil over the lawn. A bit expensive for what it is but a big time saver.

Instructions were terrible. You get a bunch of screws that aren’t itemized. So much in Spanish, you can only find a couple words in English. You have to put the rolling cage together which is silly. Customer service was great for the refund which is why I have 3 stars. I bought a wallensee spreader. The cage came assembled all I had to do was put the self explanatory screws in for handle. Done!!!

We love this soil spreader only thing we'll never do again is use very moist topsoil or triple mix it. We discovered that the large cubic meter bag of triple mix we ordered from our local landscape store was still very damp / wet from being out in the elements during this very wet spring weather. The soil was so full of moisture that by rolling it in the spreader we ended up creating golf ball size dirt balls that we had to dump from the spreader. This made the job over twice as long to do. I ended up dumping the balls in my garden and after 2 weeks of rain they are still there. They won't dissolve. Now I need to break them down by hand. Buy individual 25 liter of 40 liter bags of good quality topsoil with peat moss mix in it. Works way better the drier the mix.

Using the GOPLUS compost spreader to over seed my lawn with a mix of compost and mini white clover.Simple machine, not too difficult to assemble, would have been easier with another set of hands, but not impossible to DIY. All the hardware was there, just a little awkward, but I like putting together stuff like this so I can use thread locker on bolt threads if not locking nuts, and seal gaps with silicone if needed. For the money a good deal and I expect it will outlast me.
