The original cable would not power the unit without bending the cable in a funky way or else I'd leave a 5 star. I had another cable and used it and it works great. Even operates in -20 just fine so far.

I have a refrigerator in the back seat of my Truck for camping as well as a power setup, I get a heat build up so needed to move air out of the cab, I installed this on the window, the trim they supplied is useless so I used a pool noodle cut it long ways and slid it over the gaps. The other problem it the USB micro plug falls out so I had to glue it in,But when it works it moves air and cools the car, can be made to do the job.

The 2 star rating may be a bit harsh as I was looking for something that would reduce the temperature in my truck which is kept outside. After placing a remote thermometer in my truck and seeing a temperature of 140°F I felt I needed to do something to lower the cab temperature that didn't require opening the windows. I got this hoping to at least reduce the temperatures. I did see maybe a +/- 5 degree reduction in temperature, but at 140F I didn't feel it was doing the job. To be fair those temperatures were reached when the ambient air temperature was approximately 105°F with the truck parked in the sun. Also, I wasn't thrilled that the fans run on a USB power bank. I suppose you could rig a solar solution but I didn't have the inclination to work on a solution. If you're looking for a fan that only needs to slightly effect the air temperature in your car or truck this might be a solution for you. Just plan on getting a relatively large Ah power bank to power it.

It didn't move much air and the solar panel on it is so weak even the factory tint was too much for it

I wanted something to cool off the car. The fans do blow air and do seem to help. it could be stronger, but it helps.

We used these to help create a (as safe as we could) space for our pooch to spend the day while we attended a water park.THIS IS NOT AN ENDORSEMENT OR RECOMMENDATION FOR THIS USE.That said, it served as an important part of our solution. 1. Shade (so important!). 2. Complete coverage of vehicle in reflective sunshades. 3. Two of these fans, one blowing in (mount inside car, per instructions), the other blowing out (mount on the outside of the window instead). 4. Two other fans pointing in opposite directions to circulate the air internally. 5. A secure waterbowl! 6. A heat monitor that generates an alert if the interior temperature exceeds the threshold you set for the safety margin for your pet. This will vary depending on your pet's health, breed, coat, cooling ability etc. 7. A/C your cabin to MAX just before you leave. We set our heat alarm to 80 degrees. We checked on our dog hourly just to be sure. With this setup, the cabin temp only went up 1-4 degrees per hour over a 90+ 8 hour day. We did hit the 80 degree alarm and were notified of the cabin temp in realtime from then on. This was hour 7->8 with a max temp of 82. No distress was ever evident when we checked on our dog. 100% recommend, especially when used to vent hot air.
