This case is great. I finally replaced the original case that came with my 1976 Gibson SG guitar. It’s actually better than the original. More protection and better fit!

After the shortcomings of its generic predecessor became apparent, this item was obtained to provide light transport to/from sessions/gigs/rehearsals. Although this isn't designed to provide "road case" protection, it serves its purpose for us more than admirably. The mentioned snug fit provides palpable peace-of-mind and provides support in all the right places as only an OEM Gibson SG case can. We don't mind having to put our beefier leather straps in their own external carrying pouches because they simply won't fit comfortably. Moreover, everything else needed fits in the neck pocket with room to spare. While optional interior color options would have been nice in the 21st century, it's wasn't a deal breaker. This was worth the parlayed Amazon product return credits.

Just as advertised, very sturdy GIbson case fits my 2016 SG Special "Naked" LImited Run like a glove. Secures the guitar very well, and even room for the leather Gibson "case candy" strap attached in back and laid over the fretboard. Expensive as cases go, but worth it for expensive GIbson guitars (I try to adhere to a "case should cost 10% of the guitar" rule), and bonus - it even has that sweet vanilla-y smell my J-45 and other Gibson cases.

You can't beat a guitar case made specifically for your guitar. Custom form fit. Headstock is elevated up so that it does not come in contact with the case. The body of the guitar is a snug form fit. Very secure from internal movement. This case is for a Gibson SG. Official Gibson case.

These newer Gibson cases: brown exterior, red plush interior, and square brushed brass-style latches, are excellent. They have a large amount of storage space (you could pack a lunch in these things. LOL!). For the current $200 price tag, I don't think you will find a better quality case other than an actual road case. Not even Martin's guitar cases are as nice as these Gibsons. Also, these cases have 4 latches (as opposed to 5), all of which are in the front, so you don't have to keep remembering to reach around and flip the one in the back that you can't see.Such a nice case for your guitar, and a great price.FWIW, I currently own:-Gibson J-45 50's Faded acoustic (with this style case for the J-45)-Gibson 2022 Flying V Natural (with this style case for the Flying V Natural)-Martin D-28 (I don't like Martin's plastic molded cases)-Martin HD-28I've been a player for almost 45 years.These Gibson cases are far superior in quality, features, and price.
